Foiled Again

Have you tried the beautiful Silver or Gold Foil Sheets from the Holiday Catalog yet?  If you haven't, what are you waiting for?  These sheets are just beautiful and are perfect for some gorgeous Christmas cards.  The Silver also goes perfectly with the Silver 1/8" Ribbon, also from the Holiday Catalog.

For this card I started with a base of Whisper White 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4".  The Cherry Cobbler layer is 4 3/4" x 3 1/2", Silver Foil is 4 1/4" x 3" and Whisper White is 4 1/8" x 2 7/8" so there's just a very small sliver of silver.

I stamped the ornament onto Whisper White using Cherry Cobbler Ink and then trimmed around the stamped image removing all the white.

To get the most use from my Silver Foil paper I punched two ornaments out of the sheet because that will be covered with the Whisper White.  See picture below.

I could also have punched out other shapes, but I didn't have anything in mind at the time, so I just did the ornaments.

Christmas Collectibles

Christmas will be here before we know it, so I thought I'd take a little time and play with some of my Christmas stamps and accessories.  I like the way this embossing folder looks like Poinsettia leaves.  

Both of these cards were very simple and easy to do.  Recipe below!

Season of Style Washi Tape Christmas

I spotted this design on Selene Kempton's blog and wanted to try working with the Washi Tape.  It's soooo easy to work with and I love the look it gives!  Thank you Selene!

Here's another card that shows you how to make use of your "hidden" card stock.  The 2nd layer on this card is Very Vanilla and will be covered with a layer of Cherry Cobbler.  The Very Vanilla is measured at 5 1/4" x 4".  Since all you will see is the edges, you can use the underneath area for stamping and punching.
** A quick tip:  Remember to keep enough room around the edge for your Snail Adhesive to roll by, but also remember don't go so far up in the middle that your punch won't work.  **

Punch out your stamped images:

Here's how it looks attached to the Crumb Cake base.

Then, with the Cherry Cobbler embossed card stock, it's all covered up.  Awesome!  No need find little scraps or make new scraps to stamp and punch the ornament and sentiment.

The panel in the middle of the card is made with Very Vanilla cut at 4 1/4" x 3 1/4".  Take your Season of Style Washi Tape and start covering at a diagonal.  The Washi Tape is so very easy to use.  Line it up and when you get to the end, just go a bit further and gently tear it.  No need for scissors.  Then just fold the leftover behind the card.

I punched the center with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch just as easy as could be!  Save the center for another card.  Don't waste perfectly decorated paper!

Sponge the sentiment with Old Olive and attach with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Attach the ornament with Stampin' Dimensionals as well and add a simple bow of 1/8" Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon.

Christmas Messages and Christmas Collectibles

One of the greatest things about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - besides the 20% discount on everything, there are other great opportunities for earning free stamps!  Woo Hooo!  Last week I received a call that I had two more free sets (any price!) to choose, so I did, almost as soon as we hung up the phone!  LOL

One of the sets I wanted but hadn't given in to yet is Christmas Messages from the 2013 Holiday Catalog.  It's a GREAT set and it arrived today delivered by my favorite UPS Driver!  

I spotted this cute card by Angela McKay and with my new stamp set, I could make it now!  Yayy!  What do you think of it?  I think it's cute!  I changed the colors a little, but the base idea is hers.
