Just a Note

I wanted to make a little gift for a friend of mine who is doing something really nice for me and I thought she might like these.  Besides, the gingham is so pretty, I just had to use more of it!

These are note card size 5" x 3 1/2" and are available with envelopes from my store.  See the links below for shopping options.  I just love these little note sized cards.

Recipe:
Stampin' Up! Note Cards and Envelopes
Gingham Gala - 4 3/4" x 3 1/4"
Whisper White - 3 1/2" x 2"
Butterfly Duet Punch

Stamp:  I used Home to Roost from Sale-a-Bration, I wanted the notes to say "Just a Note" so they could be used for anything.

Cutting Tip - to get the most of of your 6" square, and have paper left over to also decorate the envelope flap, cut off the 3 1/4" width first and then cut that strip to the 4 3/4" length.  The rest gives you plenty for placing on the flap and even more left over for a strip inside or on another card.

Thank you for looking in today.  I'm on my way to our monthly workshop with the girls and I'm really looking forward to it.

Happy Saturday!

A Tisket a Tasket...

... a Balmy Blue Basket!

Check out this cute basket we made at our Team Meeting Monday night.  This was SO FAST and SO EASY to do!!  I'm going to be making more, Easter will be here before we know it!

Thank you Lorri for such fun Make and Take's on Monday!

Recipe:

Punch two daisies with the Daisy Punch, adhere together in the middle with the petals alternating to fill in the spaces.  Punch a 1/2" circle from matching cardstock - Balmy Blue for this sample.

Score 6” x 6” piece of Balmy Blue Gingham Gala DSP at 2” and 4” on both sides

• Trim on the 2 sides up to the 2” mark (shown in yellow)

• Add adhesive to the middle panel and bring outside panels up to meet at a point and adhere together
• Repeat on the other side as well
• Curl edges of daisies with Bone Folder
• Adhere to both sides of basket with Stampin' Dimensionals
• Add a 5 ½” piece of White Flax Ribbon to basket, adhering with Tear and Tape or Glue Dots to inside of basket

Big Gingham or Little Gingham?

Which do you like best, the one with big gingham squares or little gingham squares.  At first I preferred the little ones the most, and I think I still do, but the big squares don't look too bad either.

Recipe:
Highland Heather - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Gingham Gala - Highland Heather - 4" x 5 1/4"
Botanical Butterfly - die cut with Layering Circles
Basic Black - die cut with Layering Circles scallop
Botanical Butterfly punched with Butterfly Duet Punch
Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4" - inside panel

I added a small leftover piece of the Gingham Gala inside to add a little extra color.

Thank you for looking in today.  I will probably be spending the day with Icy Hot.  On Saturday my youngest son came over and we (mostly he) cut down all the overgrowth of small trees that were taking over a part of the yard where they didn't belong.  Then we dragged it all around to the front of the house for bulk trash pick up.  I've found muscles I didn't know I had and they all hurt!  LOL

Have a Blessed Sunday and HAPPY ST. Patrick's Day!

Swap Card for January

Since we vote on our favorite swaps at our team meeting, I didn't want to post mine until after the event.  Now I can post it!  When I make a swap, it is usually just a card front, so there is no inside, but since there is no sentiment on the outside, you could do just anything you want inside.

Recipe:
Basic Black - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4"
Basic Black - 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" - embossed with Tufted Dynamic Embossing Folder
Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper - 1 1/4" x 4 7/8" AND 1" x 4"
Whisper White - 1 1/8" x 5" (under the small DSP Strip)
Butterfly punched from Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper

Thank you for looking in today!  Hope you have a Happy Hump Day!

Butterfly Gala and Gingham

You might get tired of seeing Gingham, so I'll try to spread it out a bit... I promise.  But today, more Gingham and Butterflies!

I love the way Stampin' Up coordinates their colors and products to go so well together.  In the Occasions Catalog we have the Butterfly Gala Bundle and it goes so perfectly with the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper.  To tie it all together (literally) in the Sale-a-Bration catalog, you can earn for FREE, the coordinating Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack that has all the same colors featured in the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper.

Recipe:  (can be done with any of the colors in the Gingham Gala DSP)
Lemon Lime Twist - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Lemon Lime Twist Gingham Gala DSP - 3" x 4 3/4"
Whisper White - 2 1/4" x 4 1/4"
Lemon Lime Twist Organdy Ribbon - about 10 inches (I forgot to measure as I was tying the bow while it was still on the roll!)
Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins

Stamps -  Butterfly Gala - stamped directly onto Lemon Lime Twist and punched with the Butterfly Punch that comes with the stamp bundle.

Now I want to make more in the other colors!!

So, I survived the first day back at the office.  Seems I wasn't the only one out for 2 weeks.  A lot of others said the same thing this morning and some of them are still out!

Happy Tuesday!  Thank you for looking in today.  I appreciate you checking on my projects!

Butterfly Gala Photo Bomb

I had a helper while making these cards, well, at least while I was taking pictures to share!  Say hello to Tigger the Photo Bomb kitty!  I've managed to put a t-shirt off to the side that he likes to sit on while I'm working. He doesn't stay still long, but it's nice when he falls asleep there like my Suzi used to do.

Today's card is another one made with the Butterfly Gala Bundle and the Gingham Gala  6" x 6" Designer Series Paper that will be available on January 3rd.

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick cardstock - 4 1/4" x 11", scored and folded at 5 1/2"
Balmy Blue - 4" x 5 1/4"
Gingham Gala Balmy Blue DSP - 2" x 5 1/4"

The butterflies were stamped with Memento Black and colored with watercolor pencils Balmy Blue and Coastal Cabana.  Then blended them with a Blender Pen.  Punched them out with the butterfly punch that comes with the bundle.

I was able to make two cards and one envelope with one sheet of the 6" x 6" Gingham.  Could make three cards if I didn't do the envelope.

Here's my photobomber again... Say Happy Sunday, Tigger!

Thank you for looking in today.  Have a Blessed Sunday!
