Merry Embellishments

How about some super simple Christmas Cards that are irresistible!?  I just love the beautiful look of the Gold Foil Paper (132622) from the Holiday Catalog and how easy it is to use with the Expressions Thinlits Dies (132171).  Using the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack (132181) and the Top Note Bigz Die (113463) adds a splash of color behind the Whisper White Top Note.

I die cut both the Whisper White and the DSP at the same time putting the Whisper White down first so that the perforated cut shows up nice and clear.  The DSP doesn't need to be so crisp, so you can put it on top of the white and it will still cut wonderfully.

Stamp the HO HO HO from Embellished Events (w-126495 / c-126497) with Cherry Cobbler ink, put it all together and you have a wonderful variety of quick cards!

I hope this gives you something quick and easy to make.  Let me see what you come up with!  I'd love to hear from you.  Email me any time with questions or more information on anything you see here.

You can find everything you need to make this card on my website HERE.  If I can help you with anything, please let me know.  You can email me at StampsWellWithOthers@gmail.com.

Wedding Bells and Golden Rings

Time for another go at a wedding card.  With the beautiful new Gold Foil Sheets in the 2013 Holiday Mini, it was so easy to make this card really shine!  This was really a fast and easy card.

Want to know how to make the gold outline?  I'll be happy to tell you!  I actually discovered it purely by accident.  I put two layers of Gold Foil sheets together to save time and was planning on cutting each in half side to side and top to bottom and then making the border.  When I pulled the gold foil off the framelit, I realized the pressure of the framelit made a nice impression that was just the right size for a border.  I took my paper snips and carefully fussy cut the frame and then placed the wedding bells - that were also cut with the same size framelit - inside the frame.

The wedding rings were made by first punching with the 1/2" Circle Punch and then over that punched hole with the 3/4" Circle Punch.  The "diamond" is made by cutting a triangle from the corner of the Silver Glimmer Paper.

Welcome Baby

I just realized I didn't have a post for Friday, guess I spent more time preparing for my Friday Stamp-a-Stack than I thought!  Sorry kids!

So, after Stamp-a-Stack on Friday, Linda stayed around for a bit and helped me with some cards for my "card project" I'm working on.  She made 2 for boys and 2 for girls.  I think they are both adorable.  Tell me what you think.  As I see cards I want to CASE I save them for creative time and these two cards were really very quick and simple to do.  These were from Marla Reed.  Thanks Marla for the great idea!

Thanks Linda for staying, it was fun spending stamping time together and getting some great cards created!

Future Stamp-a-Stack

The bright spring colors are so pretty here!  Even better, is this design would work with any of our pretty DSP's in our catalogs.  The stamp set used here is Embellished Events from the Annual Catalog on page 40. Love the images and the greetings that go so perfectly together.

This will be one of our future Stamp-a-Stack projects.  So very much looking forward to stamping with the girls again.  The holidays and our recent election cycle really kept us all hopping and unable to really get together, so it will be a treat when we meet next month to stamp!

I found this design by Jacque Craig on Splitcoaststampers.  I love that it's very simple and colorful at the same time.  There will be a couple of changes to the final card for SAS.  The white background will use an embossing folder, probably Perfect Polka Dots, but when I was assembling this, I didn't have access to my folder.  There will also be a birthday greeting of choice (stamped before embossing, of course!).
