Sweetest Thing Candy Jar

Here is another card we made as one of the make and takes on Saturday.  I wish you could see this in person because it is so pretty with the Lovely Lipstick foil panel which is a FREE Sale-a-bration item!

Recipe:
Gorgeous Grape - 5 1/2" x 6 7/8", scored and folded at 2 5/8"
Whisper White - 2 3/8" x 5 1/4" (inside panel)
Lovely Lipstick Foil - 1 1/2" x 5 1/4"
How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper - 2 3/8" x 5 1/4" (outside panel)
Gorgeous Grape - 3 1/4" x 3 1/2", scored and folded at 1/2"
Whisper White - 2 1/4" x 3"

The jar is stamped onto window sheet and also on the small whisper white piece.  Set the window sheet aside to dry until the very end.  Stamp the lid of the jar onto Silver Foil and allow to dry.

Before you attach the Lovely Lipstick, attach the small Gorgeous Grape piece to the main card base, then add the Lovely Lipstick over the top.

Cut out candies in various colors and place on the white jar with adhesive.  Pop up one of them for depth.  Pop up the window sheet and lid with dimensionals.  Tie a piece of Coastal Cabana / Granny Apple Green 3/8" Reversible Ribbon around the small flap.

Stamp the candies in Coastal Cabana across the top and the bottom of the whisper white insert.

Swap Card for January

Since we vote on our favorite swaps at our team meeting, I didn't want to post mine until after the event.  Now I can post it!  When I make a swap, it is usually just a card front, so there is no inside, but since there is no sentiment on the outside, you could do just anything you want inside.

Recipe:
Basic Black - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4"
Basic Black - 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" - embossed with Tufted Dynamic Embossing Folder
Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper - 1 1/4" x 4 7/8" AND 1" x 4"
Whisper White - 1 1/8" x 5" (under the small DSP Strip)
Butterfly punched from Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper

Thank you for looking in today!  Hope you have a Happy Hump Day!

Home Sweet Home

Look at this GREAT Home Decor we made at our event last weekend.  Is this just the cutest thing you've ever seen?

Each piece has a velcro dot on the back and on the frame, there is the opposite velcro to change out the "O" each month.

I was so excited to see this great project and so happy that we had the opportunity to make it.  Thank you so much to Lorri and her helpers that cut pieces and parts so all we had to do was a little prep work and assemble the pieces.

The frame I found is from JoAnn's since it is close to the house, but I want to do something with it like covering it with our wood grain paper or possibly just staining it so it's shiny.  I haven't decided just yet.

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Tuesday!

Ribbit, Ribbit

This great little So Hoppy Together card has a little added fun.  Check out the frog's tongue to catch those pesky, but probably tasty to him, flies!

Recipe:
Basic Black - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2', scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Coastal Cabana - 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4" (for attaching the green strips)
Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4" (for inside panel)
Green Strips (Old Olive, Granny Apple Green, Pear Pizzazz, Lemon Lime Twist) 1 5/16" x 5 1/4"
Attach these to Whisper White and run through the Big Shot using the Dot to Dot embossing folder.
Whisper White - Stitched Shapes Circle
Basic Black - Scalloped Circle
Flirty Flamingo - 1/8" wide (frog tongue)
Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper (checkered paper) - 1/2" x 2" (snip banner shape in end)
Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green 3/8" reversible ribbon - 1 1/2" (snip banner shape in end)

Stamps - So Hoppy Together, Waterfront (shadow under frog)
Ink - Memento Black, Smoky Slate
Blends - Granny Apple Green Combo

Wind the Flirty Flamingo strip around something small, like a wood skewer or matchstick.  Before you attach the circle with the frog on it to the scalloped circle, cut a little slit with an exacto knife and slip the Flirty Flamingo through the hole and attach to the back.  Adhere to the black scallop and then attach to the front of the card with Dimensionals.

Thank you for looking in today to see our cheeky little frog card!

Happy Monday.... (ugh!)

Cake is the Answer

Yesterday was such a fun filled day with my stamping friends at a Regional Event put on by my upline Lorri Heiling.  Lorri comes up with some of the greatest projects and this event was spectacular!  I can't wait to share them all with you.

Here is the first one for you.  I'm so happy that the Letters Dies are still in the catalog and I hope they don't go away, ever!  There are so many fun things to do with them.

Recipe:
Coastal Cabana - 5 1/2" X 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4" (cut 2 - one for inside as well)
How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper - 3 3/4" x 5"

Using ONLY the Designer Series Paper, place it on the Big Shot spacing the letters, C, K and E with a space big enough for the cake and cake stand from Piece of Cake Bundle (stamps and punch) which will take the place of the letter A.

Attach the Whisper White cardstock to the Coastal Cabana, then attach the DSP (with the letters removed) onto the Whisper White with Liquid Multipurpose Glue.

Attach Foam Strips to the backs of each of the letters and attach them to the open spaces where the letters were cut out.

Stamp and punch the cake onto Whisper White and color the cake with Melon Mambo and Coastal Cabana  Stamp and Write Markers.  Punch cake stand from Silver Foil.  Attach the cake stand and the cake to a small rectangle piece of scrap paper so the cake can sit on the stand properly.  Attach onto the card where the "A" would be.

Stamp "Cake is the answer" onto a strip of Whisper White cardstock and then snip off the word "cake" because you have the big CAKE on the card already.

Inside, stamp the candles and sentiment in Coastal Cabana and Melon Mambo.

Thank you for looking in today.  Come back tomorrow for more fun projects from our Saturday Event!

Have a Blessed Sunday.
