Birthday Wit for Birthday Mat

This is such a fun stamp set - Birthday Wit.  I decided it was the perfect card for my boss Matt today.  He really appreciates my cards and that makes me happy!  I think he'll like this one too!

Recipe:
Bermuda Bay - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Lemon Lime Twist - 5 1/4" x 4"
Picture Perfect Party DSP - 5" x 3 3/4"
Lemon Lime Twist - 4 1/2" x 2 1/2"
Bermuda Bay - 2 1/4" x 1 1/4" (cut two)
Whisper White - 3 7/8" x 2" (this was randomly cut after I stamped, so that's how we got the 3 7/8")

This is the same card, just tilted back again for a better look at the sequins.

I haven't used this "Hallmark" stamp in ages!  I figured it would be a fun stamp to use for this fun card.  I bought this long before I started Stampin' Up!  It just got my funny bone!  ha ha!

Picture Perfect Party Birthday Wishes

The candes in this Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper is so much fun.  A perfect match for the stamp set Happy Birthday Gorgeous and the "Make a Wish" stamp.  Which is on the inside, but didn't get photographed. 

Recipe:

• Whisper White Thick Cardstock - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
• Pool Party - 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
• Picture Perfect Party DSP - 5" x 2 3/4" OR
• Picture Perfect Party DSP - 4 3/4" x 2 3/4" 
• Lemon Lime Twist 1/4" bigger than the DSP

The DSP is 6" x 6" so I began by cutting it in half at 3" but then realized there was a little bit of blank space on the outside edge with no candles.  So I trimmed off the blank space so that it looked even on both sides of the candles.

You can see that one is taller than the other because the flames were higher on the paper.  I could have trimmed off the bottom to make it shorter.  I will next time I think.  After attaching to the Lemon Line Twist mat I popped the candles up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I wrapped Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbon around the bottom and tied a bow on one and a knot on the other.

Slider Birthday Card

This fabulous idea comes from Frenchie Stamps!  I couldn't wait to try it.  I changed it up a bit using a gift instead of the party hat she used.  I think this idea has so much potential.  I'll show you another one tomorrow, after the recipient receives it.  Can't give up the surprise before they see it.

Recipe:
Bermuda Bay - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" (although, now that I've taken a picture of it, the next one I do will be 5 1/4" x 4" so more Bermuda Bay can be seen.

Behind the Designer Series Paper (DSP) is a slightly smaller piece of Whisper White card stock to give some weight and strength to the DSP attached with liquid glue or your favorite adhesive.

Follow the instructions from my previous blog post using the Barn Door Slider Framelits for placing the long adhesive foam strips onto the back for perfect support.

When you put the framelit in for cutting, only go as far in as you need to cut out one of the slider spots.  I went too far on this one and you can see where the indent is from the metal framelit.

Picture Perfect Birthday

Have you checked out this great Designer Series Paper yet?  It's called Picture Perfect Party and I love all the papers inside this set!  Sadly the sample doesn't show a very good picture of the pages, but I've used some of them here and I'll do more tomorrow.  Seems I need to build up my birthday stash anyway, so this will be a perfect way to do so!

Recipe:

Solid Layer (I used Berry Burst, Bermuda Bay and Lemon Lime Twist) - 5" x 3 3/4"
