*****************************************************************

Today I want to share another of the cute projects we did at our Team Regional event a couple of weeks ago.

This is a cute masculine gift card holder using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies (137547) from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I'm hoping this is something that carries over into the Annual Catalog, but we won't know that for a while yet.

For the insert, Basic Black - 5" x 3 1/2"and Very Vanilla 4 3/4" x3 1/4"

For the tag, Very Vanilla 3 3/4" x 2" then punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (133324)

Stamp with B.Y.O.P. stamps that work for the occasion for which you are making the card.

DSP - Typeset

Decorate as desired with the appropriate gift card!

I just love when my upline, Lorri Heiling, puts together our Regional Events.  They are always so much fun and she always has great projects for us.  Thanks again Lorri!

Thank you for looking in today.  Stay tuned for more cute projects!

Border Blooms

I love CASEing cards, but wow, when they don't have measurements, it makes it even more FUN!  You thought I was going to say difficult didn't you?  I found this one by Robin Messenheimer.

Begin with a base card of Whisper White - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" - scored at 4 1/4"
Strawberry Slush - 5 1/4" x 4"
DSP - Painted Blooms 5 1/8" x 2 1/2"
Whisper White - 5 1/8" x 2"
Wild Wasabi - 5 1/8" x 1"

Stamp the two-flower bunch from Painted Blooms with Strawberry Slush and the single leaf's in Wild Wasabi.  To line the stamps up easily, choose the Photopolymer set and refer to THIS POST to make it easy to line up.  In this case, stamp the flowers first, the sample will show the leaves first.

After stamping, trim one side of the flowers.

Adhere the DSP first to the Strawberry Slush, then adhere the Wild Wasabi to the other side, leaving the same margin of slush showing.  Lastly attach the stamped flowers.

Wrap a 22" length of 5/8" Organza Ribbon around the Strawberry Slush and Flowers tying a large bow across the front. Attach to the base card either directly or with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped "best mother ever" from And Many More.  I think I might re-do it by stamping the sentiment on Whisper White and then punch with Modern Label or Word Window.

Popcorn Box Tutorial

I promised you I'd show a tutorial for making the popcorn box from yesterday.  In order to make a proper tutorial, I needed to make it step by step, so I made a new box with new decorations.  Mostly because I didn't have the same accessories, but that's okay, I used new ones and I'm happy with the results.

Begin by cutting 4 (four) Fry Boxes using the Fry Box Bigz L (132966) and trim according to the pictures below.

On the two that keep the flaps attached, you also need to remove a small snip from the flaps.  Click on the picture to enlarge it to see better.  Without removing that little bit, the box will not fit together properly.

DO NOT throw away the spare parts.  They will be used for making the "film strip", "popcorn" and tickets.

Using Work of Art stamp set (w-134111 / c-134114), stripe the box with Real Red.  Lay them out in alternating pieces (tabs, no tabs, tabs, no tabs).

Using either Liquid Tombow Glue (my adhesive of choice), Fast Fuse or Sticky Strip attach the four pieces together.

Put adhesive on the last flap and pulling the pieces together, complete your box sides.

Ta da!

Now attach the bottom flaps together.  The first two pieces just require a little bit of glue on the edge, so don't overdo this part or you will be sticky all over!

Now you can go a little more crazy with the glue and add it across the bottom and fold over the last two flaps.

 Finished Box.

To make the filmstrip in my box, Cut a piece of Basic Black 1 1/4" wide and 3 1/2" long.  (Longer if you want  a longer film).  Punch 1" squares and center them onto the strip.

Make a little popcorn box using Cupcake Party for the box.  Stamp with Real Red and punch out using the Cupcake Builder.  Punch popcorn using the Boho Blossoms (retiring this year!) and sponge lightly with So Saffron ink.

Stamp a sentiment from Sumthin' Sumthin' (also retiring!) and punch it out with Ticket Duo Builder (also retiring! - UGH).  It just fits!  Also punch two extra tickets in Basic Black and attach to the back of the sentiment.  Otherwise, it just disappears into the background.

Thank you to Lorri Heiling for this cute project and for the clothespins she gave us at our event!  It was so much fun and making my version stretched my imagination to use what I had available.

Thank you for looking in again today.  I appreciate your business and your support!

French Fry Box Movie Treat

Saturday was a day full of fun and stamping with an awesome group of gals - brought to us by Lorri Heiling - our fabulous Team Leader for weSTAMP!

Then out with the hubs and friends to this year's Feeney Winthrop Benefit Concert.  If you're in the Phoenix area, I highly recommend you attend one of these benefits.  They are awesome and you won't be disappointed!  Proceeds benefit St. Joseph the Worker.

Ok, on to the first of our projects we made.

Oh my goodness, is this the cutest thing ever!  I think Lorri has a thing for Popcorn Box things.  Check this link to one from a couple of years ago.

Thank you Lorri for a fabulous day of fun!

Tomorrow I'll share the details on how to make this adorable box.  As I write this (Saturday night about midnight), I'm fighting to keep my eyes open, so I promise to have the information tomorrow.

Thank you for coming by today ~ Happy Sunday!

Doodled Thank Yous

This month I made some large thank you notes to match the little thank you notes I put into my customer's bags.  Since some of them were purchased online and were mailed to them, I wanted to mail a card so they would still receive their thank you!

I'm a big believer in Thank You Notes!

For full details on how to doodle, click HERE under the blog Do You Doodle?

Off to bed for this gal, tomorrow is a big day stamping with our weSTAMP Team.  I love stamping with the girls!

Something For Dad

— Download the 2015 Stampin’ Up! Retiring List PDF HERE —

~~~ Fully Sortable Stampin’ Up! Retiring List (EXCEL file HERE) ~~~ UPDATED DAILY
This cute little card was spotted on Martha Inchley's blog and I fell instantly in love with it.  Thank You Martha!!
Ok, so yes, it is a little early for Father's Day, but there was no way I could put off making this adorable card.  This set is called Something For Baby, but today it is Something for Dad!
You'll notice a difference in the two hangers.  They are actually both stamped with Soft Suede.  The on on the right (as you look at it) was stamped first.  At that point I realized I needed to re-ink my pad.
Look closer!  Click on the photo - it should open in another window and it should be bigger and easier to see.  After stamping the hangers, I used my Basic Gray Stampin' Write Marker and a scrap piece of card stock to make the line across the hanger.
Remember to keep your ink pads nice and juicy so they are ready to stamp crisp and clean!  Need to know how to add ink to your pads, contact me and I'll be happy to help.
I stamped the tie - also in the same stamp set with Blackberry Bliss, Pacific Point and Pumpkin Pie and then cut them out by hand.  You could certainly use the thinlit that matches this set, but I wanted them trimmed up a little closer, plus it was faster to cut by hand than running them through six times.
I added a Cherry Cobbler heart from the Confetti Heart Punch.  I think Real Red would have looked better.  What do you think?
Each tie is popped up with a half of a Stampin' Dimensional on the bottom and a thin slice of Stampin' Dimensional for the upper half.  It was skinnier than I thought, so I had to make a thin slice instead of a half a dimensional.
These cards were made using the Note Cards and Envelopes.  I just love the size of these little gems!
Trust God
— Download the 2015 Stampin’ Up! Retiring List PDF HERE —
I wanted to play with my newest stamp set, Trust God.  It was on my wish list for so long and I finally got it.  I'm happy to say it isn't on the retirement list so, Yay!
With any luck at all, Painted Petals will stick around and move into the annual catalog.  I sure hope so, I love these flowers so very much!
Recipe:
Base - Calypso Coral - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Crisp Cantaloupe - 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Smaller square for flowers:
Calypso Coral - 3 3/4" x 3 3/4"
Crisp Cantaloupe - 3 3/8" x 3 3/8"
Whisper White - 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"
Ink:  Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pear Pizzazz
Ribbon:  Pear Pizzazz
Do you have trouble lining up your flowers when they come in layers?  Try this:
First stamp your stems where you want them to be:
Then place the flowers - stamping side down onto your paper exactly where it needs to be.
Take your clear block and keeping it square with your card stock lay it gently over your photopolymer stamp.  Press gently and lift up.
Then ink your stamp and you're ready to place it back easily by lining it up.  Perfect every time!
Thank you for looking in today.  I hope you had a great Wednesday.
Now, for today's cards:
Two more quick and easy masculine cards - a thank you and a birthday.
Using the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stacks makes these manly cards SO EASY!
For these cards I simply used the Hello You Thinlits Dies and cut out all four words.  You'll notice, only three words are used... or are they?
"thank" was actually "thanks" and I removed the "s"
"happy" and "you" are as intended and
"hello" is... the EXCLAMATION point.  Ok, so only party of it is used, but it is used!
I cut out one of the "l"'s from "hello" and the "e" and turned them into "!"  Cute, right?
Then, using some of the sentiment words from Crazy About You, I stamped them onto Whisper White using Memento Ink and punched out using the Word Window punch and setting them up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Thank  you for looking in today.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via email or on my blog.
