I Thought of You Today

This started out as something I thought would be fairly quick and easy - and it was once I figured out how to work around a problem.  If you follow Brian King, you'll recognize this card.  When I saw it I loved the color combination and the clean look.  My problem, my Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends have seen better days and I realized I don't yet have Mossy Meadow.

Solution, watercolor paper with Aqua Painters and ink pads!  I think it came out very pretty, if I do say so myself.

Recipe:
Mossy Meadow - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4"
Petal Pink - 3 3/4" x 5" - Run through the Subtle Embossing Folder
Petal Pink - Die Cut with Petals and More Thinlits Die
Whisper White - Die Cut with Petals and More Thinlits Die

Stamps:  Climbing Roses and Petal Palette
Ink: Memento Black (sentiment), StazOn Black (for watercoloring), Calypso Coral, Mossy Meadow

Inside is Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4" - stamped with StazOn Black and quickly painted with Aqua Painters and ink from the inside of the stamp pads.  I say quickly because if you use too much water on the basic cardstock, the paper will be damaged.  A small area like these little flowers worked well.

More Memories & More

I wish I'd played more with these beautiful cards earlier.  So many great combinations to make simple cards in a flash!

Recipe:
Pink Pirouette - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"

Memories & More Small Cards - I trimmed them down a bit because they just seemed too big for the card, so here's the measurements:

Strips and Birds - 3 3/4" x x 2 3/4"
Basic Black Mat - 4" x 3"
Pink Pirouette Mat - 4" x 3"

Enjoy the Moment also comes from the Memories & More pack.  I simply trimmed it down to just outside the pink line.

Doesn't this ribbon go great with this card?  It comes from the 2018 Occasions Catalog.  It came as a set, so I don't have the exact name - but it is in the Occasions - possibly sold out already.

I colored their little chests with Pink Pirouette Light and Dark Stampin' Blends.

Thank you for looking in today.  Have a Blessed Sunday!

Waterfront Beach

Here's another cute card using the Waterfront stamp set from the 2018 Occasions Catalog.  Did you notice from the retirement lists that Waterfront is not retiring and it's going to be in the new Annual Catalog.  I'm so excited!!

These are the little thank you's for this month's workshop. Since we used this set at the workshop with the pine trees, I thought it would be nice for the thank you's to be with the palm trees.

Recipe:
Marina Mist (retiring) 3" x 3"
Whisper White - 5 3/4" x 2 7/8", scored and folded at 2 7/8"

I started stamping from the bottom up.  Similar to how we did the other Waterfront card except that one we started at the top.  It really just depends on where you want things to end up.  I didn't want the water to be stamped off the bottom, so I started there and worked my way up.

Marina Mist - stamped off once

Soft Suede - stamped off once

Palm Tree Trunks - Soft Suede
Palm Fronds - Garden Green

Place a post it note just a hair below the "sand".  Just below, because the sun stamp will leave a little gap between the cardstock and the post it.  You don't want to have open white space.

Crushed Curry - Sun

Early Espresso - Hut

Marina Mist - Thank You - from Petal Palette

Thank you for looking in today.  Happy Saturday!!
