Petals and Pennants

While trying to use some of our stamps that are retiring, I found two today that go together.  I bet you think it's both of the flowers you see on today's card, but oddly enough, they aren't going together.

The Petite Petals stamps are retiring as is Perfect Pennants.  The small flower punch that goes with the stamps is not retiring, so perhaps there will be something new to go with it.

This was so fast and easy to put together.  Here are the details.

Recipe:

Base - Calypso Coral - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Very Vanilla - 5 1/4" x 4"
Calypso Coral - 3 7/8" x 2 7/8"
Very Vanilla - 3 3/4" x 2 3/4"

Stamps:  Petite Petals (retiring), Perfect Pennants (retiring), Flower Shop
Ink:  Calypso Coral

Extras:  Wink of Stella Clear; Rhinestone Basics

Medium Very Vanilla Envelopes - add a little love to the envelope by stamping some more flowers on the flap and in the corner front.

You can't see the glimmer from the Wink of Stella in the above pictures, but turning it here you can see it very clearly.  It looks lovely, don't you think?

You can see above how I popped up the little flowers with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thank you for looking in today.  Let's make it a great week!   ~ Donna

Mother's Day Basket Card

While my Mom is watching over me from Heaven, I still have a Mother-in-Law that I want to do something special for.  I thought a berry basket filled with flowers would be nice, they don't wilt and don't require watering.  Perfect!

Also, since hubby is delivering the card, I don't have to worry about the bulk of the card.  Yayy!

Recipe:  Berry Basket (half of a basket) in Crumb Cake and inked with Soft Suede using the Hardwood background stamp.
Flowers:  Flower Shop stamped and punched.  Colors:  Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight, Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral.  I added some of the Large Rhinestones that I had leftover because they are the perfect size.
Card base:  Crisp Cantaloupe and Coastal Cabana.
Sentiment:  Teeny Tiny Wishes

I added some additional flowers inside to give it a bit of color.

Thank you for looking in.... I have to run... it's time to put my pre-order in.... ack!  Don't want to miss that!  Time to think NEW STAMP CATALOG!  More info on the horizon!

Happy Tuesday!

Flowers for Any Occasion

I saw a card similar to this on Pinterest the other day, but wasn't crazy with the color choices, so I pulled out my handy Color Coach (130118) and came up with So Saffron and Rose Red and added Very Vanilla for the main focal point.

Starting with a base of So Saffron card stock cut to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4".  The next layer, Rose Red is 5 1/4" x 4" and Very Vanilla at 5 1/8" x 3 7/8".

I stamped with Work of Art (w-134111 / c-134114) with So Saffron and then kept stamping off four times (although the one above I did re-ink the 4th one for a change).

Then Gorgeous Grunge (w-130514 /c-130517) with Rose Red.

I stamped a flower from Flower Shop (w-130939 / c-130942) and from Petite Petals (w-133152 / c-133155) with Rose Red.  Punch with Pansy Punch (130698) and Petite Petals (133322)

Finish with wrapping a piece of bakers twine or linen thread into a couple of loops around your fingers and then pinch together in the middle before attaching to the card front and covering with the large flower.

Think of all the color combinations that could be used to change up this card.  Unlimited!

Thank you for checking in today.  Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Gorgeous Grunge Strikes Again

I've been needing some multi-purpose cards to have around that are ready to stamp with a sentiment in a moments' notice, so here is what I came up with.

Gorgeous Grunge strikes again!

Using Flower Shop and Petite Petals along with their punches, these cards came together very quickly and can be used for just about any occasion when I'm in a pinch for a special card.

The card can even be turned up portrait style instead of landscape for a little change up.

Add some pretty sequins to match the In-Colors and you have the perfect little bit of bling!

Thank you for stopping in today to check out my blog.  It's Friday EVE and the weekend is almost here!  If you see anything here you'd like to add to your stamping stash, just click on the picture below and you will be shopping in my store in no time at all!
