Say It Isn't So!

Did you see the Retiring Stamps List???  Gorgeous Grunge is being retired!  Say it isn't so!  I keep waiting for them to say "just kidding!"

On the happier side of this card though is the reason why I made it.  A very deserving guy at our office was appointed as the Election Director today.  He's been the Interim Director since shortly after the first of the year when our previous Director retired.  We're all very proud of him being selected.  He will do an amazing job!

Since we work with Elections, I had to use Red, White and Blue, of course!

Very simple recipe:

Real Red - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4"
Night of Navy - 5" x 3 3/4"
Whisper White 4 7/8" x 3 5/8"
Gold Foil and Whisper White Circles (extras made from yesterday! They came in handy already!)

Stamps:  Gorgeous Grunge (retiring), Tin of Cards (retiring)
Ink:  Real Red, Night of Navy

Thank you for looking in today!  Remember to let me know if you need a catalog so I can get them ordered for you.  You're going to LOVE IT!

Pineapple... that's all, just Pineapple

Actually, the subject line isn't totally true since we use other stamps inside.  This was another fun card we made at our Team Regional event.  This was made on our notecard sized cards instead of the standard 1/2 sheet of cardstock.

Stamps:  Pineapple, Pop of Paradise, Designer Tin of Cards
Ink:  Crushed Curry, Emerald Envy

See below for all other supplies.

Fruit Stand Hello

These peaches make my mouth water just looking at them!  Don't they look so tasty?

Recipe:

Peekaboo Peach Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Cucumber Crush - 5 1/4" x 4"
Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper - 5" x 3 3/4"

The lined paper is also from the same piece of paper with the peaches, however they actually run horizontally, so to make the top lined piece, you'll want to cut it from another piece of paper or your lines won't be running vertically.

I cut out one of the peaches and leaves and popped them up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from Tin of Cards, stamped in Cucumber Crush and die cut with Layering Circles.

Inside I added a strip of the stripes.

Don't forget the ribbon - be sure to put it on before you adhere the DSP to the Cucumber Crush!  Ask me how I know this...  I used Tear & Tape to stick the ribbon down.  Perfect!
