March Thank You Notes
My apologies for being MIA the last couple of days. My mojo was on vacation and I just couldn't pull anything together after the crazy work week we've had at the office! For those of you have been reading my blog for a while, you know I work for the county election's office. When it is election time, we work long hours and I'm lucky to make it to my pillow before crashing. Next week is Arizona's Presidential Preference Election so no promises on regular postings! :)
And now on to the fun part!
Last weekend was our March workshop, so here are the little thank you's that I'll be putting into the girls bags. Clean and simple.
Recipe:
Whisper White Card Stock - 6" x 3", scored and folded at 3"
Real Red - for the Heart Die (from Cups & Kettle Framelits)
Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper Stack
Cups & Kettle Framelits Dies
Stamps: Cottage Greetings

Just a Little Something With the Curvy Corner Trio Punch
This is one of the cards we'll be making at Mary's workshop this weekend. I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
Mary and I spotted the banner on Connie Stewart's blog and wanted to give it a try for Saturday. It uses the Curvy Corner Trio Punch (139683) with a little trick on making it look so awesome! Thank you Connie for your great inspiration! I've done a pictorial tutorial below, but feel free to check out Connie's videos.
Recipe:
Bermuda Bay - 11" x 4 1/4", scored and folded at 5 1/2"
Smoky Slate - 5 1/4" x 4"
Designer Series Paper (Have a Cuppa - 140567) - 5" x 3 3/4"
Bermuda Bay 1/8" Stitched Ribbon (about 16 inches.
Inside is the leftover paper from cutting the DSP for the outside:
Smoky Slate - 5 1/4" x 2 1/2"
DSP - 5" x 2 1/4"
Inside panel - Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4" - punch the corners with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch
To make the cute banner on the front, take a 1" side strip of Whisper White. The length will be whatever size you need to use your choice of sentiment.
Carefully slide the strip into the punch as shown below. Be sure it is all the way in and flush all the way to the right side. Punch.
The mat for your banner will be a 1 3/4" strip and two 1 3/4" Circle punches.
Line the circle punch up on one end and then place your Whisper White over the top.
Trim off the excess mat. In this picture below, I cut it where you can see the 7 1/2" mark (that's just where it happens to sit on the cutting mat). Then attach your other circle behind the 1 3/4" strip. I believe Connie put hers on the top, but this seemed a little less visible to me.
Thank you for looking in today. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me!

To make the pocket on the inside, staple the Smoky Slate around the edges. Don't worry, you will cover them with DSP and on the front of the card they will be covered as well. Yes, you could use Tear and Tape or Tombo Liquid Glue, but these staples work well and they are easy to hide!

Carefully slide the strip into the punch as shown below. Be sure it is all the way in and flush all the way to the right side. Punch.
It will look like this:
Move the strip over to the other side, again being sure to have it all the way in and all the way to the left this time.
The mat for your banner will be a 1 3/4" strip and two 1 3/4" Circle punches.
Line the circle punch up on one end and then place your Whisper White over the top.
