Santa's Little Sleigh

Here's a quick little treat I made up for my card class tomorrow. Girls, if you're reading this before class... surprise!

Made with the Wood Crate Framelits Dies and Real Red
Cookie Cutter Santa
Candy Canes are attached with Tear and Tape - although a hot glue gun would be better, but I didn't dig mine out.
For the Santa, I punched out a second one out of Real Red and attached it to the back.

Fill with your favorite Christmas candies.  I wanted to use the Christmas Dove Bars because they all look like little wrapped packages, but couldn't find them.

Ho Ho Ho!

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Saturday!

Snowman Crate Card

Here is one of my favorite cards we made this past weekend at our Cozy Craft Retreat.  Isn't it adorable??  Lorri has the greatest ideas!

Recipe:
Crumb Cake - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Balmy Blue - 5" x 3 3/4"
Wood Textures Designer Series Paper - cut with Wood Crate Framelits
Early Espresso - 3 1/8" x 1 1/4" (to go behind the Wood Crate)
Whisper White - scrap to punch 1 3/4" Circle and two 1/2" Circles for hands.

Stamp the Balmy Blue cardstock with Craft White ink and your favorite snowflake stamps.  Current snowflakes available are in Snowflake Sentiments on page 100 of the Annual Catalog.

Spritz over the snowflakes with Frost White Shimmer Paint.  Use 1/4 teaspoon in our spritzer and fill the remainder with rubbing alcohol for best results. Stamp sentiment from Cookie Cutter Christmas in Balmy Blue.

Attach the snowman head behind the Early Espresso and attach "hands" to the front.  Cut a small triangle out of Pumpkin Pie.  Add two small pearls that have been colored black with a Sharpie for his eyes.

Stamp inside as desired.

I apologize I don't know what Lorri gave us for the holly leaves.  When I find out, I'll update this post.

Thank you for looking in today!

Winning Swap for August 2017

Each month our team has a card swap where we use only current Stampin' Up! products.  All of our cards are put up on a display board and everyone votes for their favorite.

Jennie's card won this month, 2nd month in a row mind you.  I'm going to have to step up my swaps!

I asked Jennie though about the beautiful glimmer paper in the middle, I simply couldn't find it in our current catalogs, but I remember us having it.  Well, Jennie had some leftover for some of her cards and then made her own for the rest.  Smarty Pants!  LOL

She took some Dazzling Diamonds cardstock, Pumpkin Pie Ink pad and a sponge dauber and simply turned the Dazzling Diamonds into Pumpkin Pie.  Think about that a minute... you could make ANY COLOR glimmer paper you want with our ink pads and re-inkers.

Products Used:
Early Espresso Card Stock
Pumpkin Pie Card Stock
Wood Textures Designer Series Paper
Daffodil Delight (I'm guessing here) Card Stock
Cajun Craze (again guessing for the leaf on the left)
Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Card Stock
Gold Foil Card Stock
Daisy Punch
Wood Crate Framelits

Congratulations to Jennie - such a beautiful fall card!

Thank you for looking in today.  It's Friday Eve and the weekend is almost here!

Crazy Cat Lady

Last week at our Team Meeting, I was showing the girls my "Free Kittens" card.  If you didn't see it, you can go HERE to see it now.  One of the girls suggested how cute it would be to make one that said "Crazy Cat Lady Starter Kit".

So, that's what I did!  I can see one thing I didn't do, but I think I'll be making more of these so will update it then.  Next time, I want to add some background to the kitties.  Maybe a brick wall would go nicely there!

Recipe:
Cajun Craze - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Sahara Sand - 5 1/4" x 4"
Kitties - Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Smoky Slate, Soft Suede, Basic Gray and Cajun Craze.
Wood Crate - Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack

Inside, the side of the crate and one more kitty!  You can never have too many kitties!

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Hump Day!

Quick Cards in Wood Crate

These were so fun and easy to put together.  You're going to love this set Wood Words and the Wood Crate Framelits Die Bundle.

The crate is so easy to put together and with the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack which looks just like wood.

These can be great little gifts with note cards and envelopes or you can fill them with goodies for party favors and treats.

Thank you for looking in today!  Have a wonderful safe Memorial Day Weekend!

Sneak Peek - Wood Crate (with a freebie inside!)

Okay, so there's nothing free when you get the Wood Crate thinlits, but you can certainly put FREE THINGS inside.  In this case... free kittens!  Isn't this adorable?

I wish I could take credit for it, but this concept comes from Candy Ford.  When I was searching for ideas for using the wood crate, which by the way, actually makes a 3-D crate, I ran across her card where she just uses part of the crate.  The best part is the fabulous new 6" x 6" Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack.

There is even a little surprise inside using the side of the crate and one more kitten!

The hardest part was cutting out all the kitties from the Pretty Kitties stamp set, which is carrying over!  Yayyyy!  The sentiments also come from the same set.  I just love them!

To attach the sign, I used Linen Thread and an Embellishment from Urban Underground (retiring).

Good thing these aren't for real kitties, I already have a houseful and simply don't need any more - though knowing us, we will keep collecting them - even if just outside kitties that we feed and water.

Thanks for looking in today.  Happy Hump Day!
