Painted in Pink

Ok, so it's not really pink, it's Melon Mambo, but that didn't work for me.

This is a fun little card we'll be making at our Team Meeting on Monday.  Yes, I know it's very springy, but as Demonstrators, we're always planning ahead!

Recipe:
Wild Wasabi - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4" - Embossed with Petal Burst
Melon Mambo - 4 3/8" x 3 1/4
Whisper White - 4 1/8" x 3"

Stamps -  Painted Harvest, Bunch of Blossoms
Ink - Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Wild Wasabi, Soft Suede
Ribbon - Old Olive 1/8" Sheer Ribbon (12 inches)

Thank you for looking in today.  Have a Blessed Sunday!

Keeping It Inside the Lines

Finally I had some time to just color and play with my FREE Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper from the Sale-a-Bration booklet.  I've been wanting to for so long, but had to find a time when I could relax and color without being rushed.

What did I color with you ask?  Why, our Watercolor Pencils of course!  These things have been so popular they were on the out of stock list, but they are back again and you can get yours now too!

Since I stamped on regular cardstock, I used our Blender Pens and they smoothed the colors out beautifully.  I used the Momentum Black ink since I didn't need it to be waterproof.  If I were stamping and coloring with our Aqua Pen, I would have used our Archival Black or StazOn Black.

I tried two different measurements for the borders.  Tell me which one you like best.

Recipe:
Melon Mambo (below) and Calypso Coral (way above) 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Basic Black - 5" x 3 3/4" (mambo) and 4 3/4" x 3 1/2" (coral)
Whisper White - 4 3/4" x 3 1/2" (mambo) and 4 5/8" x 3 3/8" (coral)
Basic Black - 4" x 2 1/8" (mambo) and  3 7/8" x 1 7/8" (coral)
DSP - 3 3/4" x 1 7/8" (mambo) and  3 3/4" x 1 3/4" (coral)

Basically - one card is 1/4" inch bigger on 2 sides when measuring and the other is 1/8" bigger.

I used a sentiment from Bunch of Blossoms.

Remarkable You

Sometimes it is nice to color, without coloring, aka, stamping on cardstock that has the beautiful color you want and then cutting it out.  When I first started stamping and scrapbooking, fussy-cutting was the LAST thing in the world I wanted to do, but now, I find it relaxing.  Weird, right?

Do you like to fussy cut?  As long as the cutting isn't too fussy?

Recipe:

Melon Mambo - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Basic Black - 5 1/4" x 4"
Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper (DSP) 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"

Smoky Slate Circle
Basic Black Scallop Circle
Whisper White Oval
Basic Black Scallop Oval

Stamps - Remarkable You and Bunch of Blossoms

I popped up the circle and the ovals with Stampin Dimensionals.

Love the Basic Black and Melon Mambo together.
