At our Team Meeting on Monday Night, we made this adorable gift card holder.  I just LOVE the brick wall embossing folder!  Thank you Lorri for a fun evening and stretching our creativity!

Recipe:
Blackberry Bliss:  8 1/2" x 4 1/4" - Score at 3", 3 1/4", 6 1/4" and 6 1/2"
Bermuda Bay:  4" x 2 3/4"
Blackberry Bliss Pockets (cut three):  3" x 2 1/4"
Punch along the 3" side with a 1 1/4" Circle Punch
Delightful Dijon:  2" Circle Punch
Bohemian DSP: 1" x 2 5/8" - punch with Triple Banner Punch
Stamp Set:  You're Sublime
Stampin' Write Markers:  Bermuda Bay, Delightful Dijon

This is a tri-fold card that will also hold three gift cards.  If you wonder why would you need to give three gift cards, how about this for an example?  At our office, when there is a birthday, we collect donations for gifts.  A lot of times, the best gift is gift cards.  We usually end up buying more than one and this would be the perfect way to give multiples.

Inside I decorated the pockets with Bohemian Designer Washi Tape.  At our meeting, this was left undecorated so we could personalize this area however we wanted.

When scoring, there's a bit of a gap so the card folds nicely when filled.

Thank you for looking in today and being loyal to checking my blog each day.  Please feel free to leave comments.  I love hearing from you.

Remember - today is the last day to sign up and receive two free stamp sets.  Hobby Demo's welcome!

Happy Happenings in a Garden of Bloom

I just love this Garden in Bloom set.  Today I've used them without the "inside" stamp and I think it's just simply beautiful!  I made two cards with different measurements.

First Card Recipe:

Crushed Curry Base:  8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Whisper White:  5 1/4" x 4"
Crushed Curry:  4 1/2" x 3 1/4"
Whisper White:  4 1/4" x 3"

Inside:
Whisper White:  5 1/4" x 4"
Cherry Cobbler Strip:  5 1/4" x 1"
Whisper White Strip:  5 1/4" x 3/4"

Second Card Recipe :

Crushed Curry Base:  8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Whisper White:  5 1/4" x 4"
Crushed Curry:  4" x 3"
Whisper White:  3 3/4" x 2 3/4"

Inside:
Whisper White 5 1/4" x 4"
Cherry Cobbler Strip:  4" x 1"
Whisper White Strip:  4" x 3/4"

Don't forget a little envelope love too!  I placed a post-it note over the front of the envelope so that I could easily stamp "off" the edge and then remove the post-it for a clean envelope.

I even added a little love to the front of the envelope.

Thank you for looking in today.  May you have a Blessed Sunday!

Workshop Thank You's June 2015

Yesterday's card was so pretty, I just had to continue the theme for today's Customer Thank You notes.  I love making these little 3" x 3" notes for my customers.  They are fun, fast and pretty!

I started with a 6" x 3" Whisper White piece of card stock, then a square 2 7/8" x 2 7/8" of Melon Mambo and then DSP 2 3/4" x 2 3/4".

Next, Linen Thread wrapped around one end and tied in a small bow.  Stamp "A Little Thanks" from One Big Meaning and punched it out with the Scalloped Oval punch.

Just a quick post today since it's nearly midnight again and past bedtime again!  It was totally worth it though to be later tonight.  I had a wonderful dinner with my best friend from high school having some catch-up time.  Time passes by way too quickly and we were way past due for some time to visit.

Thank you for looking in.  Be sure to check out the great deals this week on our weekly deals!

English Garden in Bloom

As promised, here are some more cards using the beautiful English Garden DSP.  The basic idea for this card comes from Connie Collins.  Thank you Connie!  Her card uses Blackberry Bliss and a scalloped edge which is very pretty.

I chose to use Melon Mambo for my mat color and I didn't use a scalloped edge or stitches.  This card is going to be another one of my favorites!

Even the inside is decorated.  I must remember to do this more often.  I love having the inside looking beautiful too!

Recipe:

Mossy Meadow - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Melon Mambo - 5 1/4" x 4"
DSP - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Whisper White (inside) 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"

Sentiment Inside and Out:  Garden in Bloom
Ink:  Soft Suede for sponging the edges of the DSP and Circle
Mossy Meadow for Sentiments

Since I didn't want to do stitching, I made my own "stitch" with my Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker.  I only did this around the 2 1/2" Circle.

Remember, if you are reading this in an email (exactly how many of you are reading from an email?  I'm curious - post a comment and let me know, please?) - if you are, remember to go to my blog link below to see the "scrolling store" from "mystampin'blog" website.

Thank you for looking in today.  Happy Hump Day!

Beautiful English Garden

Stampin' Up! has come through again with more beautiful DSP in the 2015 Annual Catalog.  As I've said many times in the past I was totally taken with the Painted Blooms DSP in the Occasions catalog and it will be my favorite for a long time, however, this new DSP, English Garden is making a big impression on me.

Both pieces used on these cards and envelopes come from two separate papers within English Garden.  They go so well together, don't you think?

Recipe:

Night of Navy - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Hello Honey - 5 1/4" x 4"
DSP flowers - 5 1/8" x 3"
DSP stripes - 5 1/8" x 2"
Ribbon - 5/8" Organza Ribbon

Stamps:  You've Got This
Punch:  Decorative Label

Thank you for looking in today... here comes Monday again!

Too Hot For Ice Cream? Never!

Saturday's workshop at Kristi's house was so much fun and as usual, my stampers love putting their own twist on their cards.

My Version - simple:

Their Version - change the words (so easy to do with alpha stamps!):

And a little more topsy-turvy.  After all, if you drop your ice cream cones, they aren't going to land all the same, right?  :)

The girls from left to right around the table:  Linda, Mary F., Brittney, Tina, Kristi (today's hostess), Mary P. and Berta.  Thank you ladies for coming to stamp!

Here is our 2nd card.  This one was made by Berta.  I wish you could see it better, but her butterfly wings are bent up a bit, then down, then up with a little flair.  Very pretty!

Then, we have Linda.  She doesn't like Pink  Pirouette.... it's okay, we'll keep her, I just have to remember to have an alternate color for her!  (She calls it Pitiful Pink - but don't tell anyone!)

She chose to do hers with Mint Macaron and I wish I'd managed to get a picture of the final completed card, but it did look pretty good in Mint!

I thought Linda's dots under her butterfly looked a bit like a Cheetah, what do you think?

Thank you for looking in today.  May you have a Blessed Sunday.  If you are lucky enough to have your Father still with you, enjoy him and cherish him.  I'd give anything to talk to mine today!
