Thank You Puzzlers

Finally I can post these!  I had them made last week, but with long hours I didn't get them mailed until a couple of days ago.  Now they should be in the hands of the recipients, so I can share.

These were fun to make.  To see how I made a bigger version, click HERE.

Imagine the possibilities, the color combinations and all the fun you can have with these puzzle pieces.

Thank  you for looking in today!  It's finally Friday!

Watts of Get Well

Before you see today's card, I want to share something with you that I've been doing to keep from fighting with the new stamp pad design.  I know the pads are supposed to get easier to slide open with use, but I'm tired of getting extra inky in the meantime.  This works perfectly!  Just open your inkpad (the new style only) and lay down the inkpad side onto your work surface.  It's nice and flat and works perfectly for inking up your stamps.

Then, simply close the ink pad and you're done!  Just be sure it clicks when you close it so it is closed tight.

My Uncle Lou in Maryland has come down with a bug or something that has him feeling really under the weather, so I thought it would be fun to send him a cute get well card.  When looking through my stamps, I came across "Watts of Occasions" and immediately knew this was the one I wanted to use.

Recipe:
Lemon Lime Twist - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Basic Black - 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" (run through embossing folder - Softly Falling)
Basic Black - 4 1/4" x 3 1/4"
Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper - 4 1/8" x 3 1/8"
Basic Black - 3 3/4" x 2 1/4"
Whisper White - 3 5/8" x 2 1/8"

Ink:  Memento Black, Lemon Lime Twist

Don't forget to decorate your envelope!  I added more of the Animal Expedition DSP.

Thank you for looking in today.  Remember - for every $50.00 you spend during August, you earn a $5.00 coupon to use in September!  Don't miss out!

Fun Fold Outing

I know I've posted this fun fold before, but for the life of me I can't find it anywhere!  When I saw this one on Saturday by Dawn Olchefske, it reminded me of it and so I had to make a card similar to hers because I love this paper so much!

Here is my version:

Recipe:
Smoky Slate - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4" and then, cut off 1 1/2" off the front of the card
Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" (outside)
Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper 5 1/4" x 1" (inside strip)
Pool Party - 5" x 3", scored at 1 1/4"
Melon Mambo - 3" x 2 1/2"
Whisper White - 2 3/4" x 2 1/4"
Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4" (inside)
Whisper White Scrap for sentiment
Pool Party Scrap for Scallop

Before you place the inside Whisper White panel, glue down the 1 1/4" portion of the Pool Party paper, then glue down the White panel.  Decorate the left side with the 1" strip (which happens to be the other side of the DSP from the front).

Instead of stamping and coloring the Rhino again, I used one that I had cut out using the framelits that come with the Animal Outing Bundle and popped it up with Dimensionals.

Thank you for looking in today.  Have a Blessed Sunday!

Spooky Bats in August

Yes, yes, I know it's very early for Halloween, but my pre-order for the Holiday Catalog arrived and I simply had to play!!  Besides, when it is time to make Halloween stuff, I'll be up to my ears in Election work at the office and I'll be lucky to have time to say the word Halloween!

These bats come from the Spooky Bats Punch (yayyy punches!) and comes as a bundle with the Spooky Sweets Stamps.

Recipe:
Basic Black - 11" x 4 1/4", scored and folded at 5 1/2"
Gorgeous Grape - 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"
Smoky Slate - 4 1/2" x 3 1/4"

I couldn't decide which "yellow" to use, so I used two different ones.

Daffodil Delight / Pineapple Punch - die cut with Layering Circles (apx 2 1/4")
Vellum - Pretty Paper Label Punch
Black Foil Sheets - punched with the Spooky Bat Punch

Can you see how shiny the bats are below?

I like the clouds over the top of the moon the best, but for some reason, they curled up and we all know we have to be careful with adhesive showing through vellum, so that was a bit tricky.

This "cloud" didn't curl... I have no idea why.

Here they are side by side to see the colors of the moons, but I still can't decide.  I think maybe I like the brighter Pineapple Punch.  At least at the moment.  Which do you like best?

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy FRIDAY!

Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper

Stampin' Up! makes it so nice and easy to make beautiful cards with their Designer Series Paper (DSP) and easy to use Die Cuts.  Look closely at the Rhino and his birdie friend.  This is from the DSP, not stamped and colored!

I just had to CASE this card from Dawn Olchefske.  I was going to use different paper in the pack, but this beautiful page just had to be the one.  I did change up the base card to Smoky Slate and the sentiment that I used.  I love the colors!

Recipe:
Smoky Slate - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Animal Expedition DSP - 5 1/4" x 4"
Animal Expedition DSP - 4" x 2"
Pool Party scrap for sentiment
Granny Apple Green scrap for leaves

Stamps - Animal Outing
Ink - Tranquil Tide

Here's a closer look at the Rhino, leaves and sentiment.

Thank you for looking in today!  We're on the downward slope toward the weekend!
