Ghirardelli Pouch with Envelope Punch Board

Want some quick and easy pouches to hand out this Christmas Season to waitresses or at your Vet's office or Dentist?  Then these are for you!

Begin with a piece of Designer Series Paper - I used Festive Farmhouse - 5" x 5".  Use the Stampin' Up! Envelope Punch Board and use the measurements for the 2 1/2" x 3" envelope.  This is the 2nd envelope on the board.  Follow the directions for making the envelope as they are posted on the Envelope Punch Board. 

Remember to round the corners with the corner rounder also found on the board.

With the small flaps at the top and the bottom, fold them in to the center and add Tear and Tape as shown below.  You could also add a little to the inside of the top flap so it stays down, but it will stay down without it.

Fold down the top flap, then fold up the bottom flap.  Peel off the Tear and Tape paper on the left and bottom flap, then fold the left over the bottom.  Peel off the paper from the right side and close it over the bottom flap.

It will look like the picture below.  Slide in the candy squares and decorate the outside to your liking.

Santa's Ghirardelli Holders

For those of you that don't know, earlier this year I was contacted by an Aunt that I didn't know I had.  Turns out she was the half sister of my birth Mother (I was adopted at birth - and never knew who my birth Mom was).  So, turns out she'd lived within miles of me most of my life, we may have even passed each other in a store or passing on the street.  She passed away three years ago, but some of the miniatures that she made are apparently still at the Independent Senior Living residence where she lived before she passed.  Now that my long work hours are over, I'm taking a quick trip to where she lived to see them and bring them home.  I'm so happy they kept them and said they are mine to have!

Well, I can't go without some little treats for the people that live and work there, just as a thank you.  I decided on some matchbook holders with Ghirardelli chocolates.  I found this pattern from The Papered Chef - the same lady that I found that turned me on to the Brother Scan n' Cut. 

Recipe:
Santa's Workshop Designer Series Paper - 7 1/4" x 2 3/4" - be sure to cut so that the pattern of paper will fold and not be "sideways".  See below.

With the top of the paper on your cutter as shown above, score at 6 1/2", then 3 1/8" and then 2 7/8"
Fold on the score lines and staple the smallest fold up with two staples - to look like a matchbook.

Attach a Ghirardelli chocolate inside with a removable glue dot.  Tuck the edge under the small flap.

On top I attached some cut-outs also from the same Designer Series Paper  which I cut out with my Scan N Cut.  I love that thing!  I attached them with some Wobbles that I bought years ago and had dug out the other day.

The "for you" is from Wood Words and punched with a 1" circle punch.  I also punched some scallops out of the back of the DSP that was red with the dots.

Aren't these cute and they were SO FAST to do!

Ghirardelli Apron of Love Tutorial

I promised instructions on making this cute apron, filled with chocolate!  

Begin with two pieces of cardstock - your choice of color, of course.  Could even be some pretty Designer Series Paper.  

5 1/4" x 3 1/2" - Stamp the Apron twice 

4 1/2" x 3 3/4" - score 1 1/4" on all four sides

Cut where shown

Fold on all the score lines using a bone folder for a nice crisp fold.

The large piece goes up first and then the two sides.  Normally we would do this the opposite, but the outside will be covered with the apron, so putting the large size inside keeps the inside looking nice.

I recommend using Tear and Tape or Multipurpose Glue for a nice strong hold.

To get a nice clean stamp and cut, lay your stamp onto your block first, letting it fall onto the block naturally as possible (to keep its' shape).

Then, lay your die over the stamp to make sure the lines of the stamp are within the edges of the die cut lines.

Here is where you want to put as much space between the stamps, so you can cut the neck straps as well.  You'll need two.

Again, use a strong adhesive to put the apron onto the outside of your box.

Seems I forgot to take a picture of the apron piece - I started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock 2" x 2" because I had cut them for a workshop.  If you're just making one at home, just use whatever pieces of scraps you may have.

To place the utensils into the pocket, use a piece of Tear and Tape on the back side of the pocket, then place the utensils down and then you can glue or tape the pocket to the apron.

This will hold 4 of the Ghirardelli Squares.  Perfect little box of tasty!
