Adulting is Hard... especially at 116 Degrees

Phoenix was 116 degrees on Sunday.  Not bad, considering they thought it could be 117 or 118.  Yikes!  Either way, I didn't go outside until I had to go outside!

This card was the perfect quencher for the high temperatures.  Too bad I didn't have a real one to sip on while crafting!

Recipe:
Coastal Cabana - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Bermuda Bay - 4" x 5 1/4"

Coastal Cabana 3 3/4" x 5"
Whisper White - largest Stitched Shapes Circle
Bermuda Bay 1 1/2" x 4" (or so).  Punched with Banner Punch, then trimmed to fit as I wanted.

To make the yummy drink, stamp the outline stamp first.  Then I used a sponge dauber to ink the solid stamp (with the ice cubes) with Mango Melody on the top and then Melon Mambo on the bottom.  Then just line up the inside stamp with the outline stamp.

I colored the Lime with Stampin' Blends - Granny Apple Green Dark on the outside and Light on the slice.  The umbrella was colored with Mango Melody.

Hand Sanitizer with Envelope Punch Board

Ever since this crazy Corona Virus began in March 2020, finding hand sanitizer has been a real challenge.  Finally, thing settled down and Bath and Body Works has some in stock, so I ordered some up to make some nice gifts for my stampers.  When this fun Playful Pets Designer Series Paper came out, I knew just what I wanted to do!

After nearly having this posted, I realized the Envelope Punch Board has been retired!  Ugh!  I promised yesterday though that I would post this anyway for those of you who may have the Envelope Punch Board.

Fold as shown and add a dab of Multipurpose Liquid Glue as shown below:

Fold together and hold for a moment to attach.

Add glue to the flaps and the outer flap as shown below:

Pinch the box a bit so you can tuck in the flap without spreading the glue onto the outside.

Ta Da!

Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 1 7/8" x 5 1/2".  Wrap loosely around the box pinching at the corners, so you know where they will fit.

Fold the creases with bone folder to make crisp corners.

Use Tear and Tape inside each end and carefully wrap around the box, attaching at the back.

Decorate as desired!

So now you can make this one too, if you have the Envelope Punch Board!

Have fun!

Playful Pets Anti-Bac Gifts

So... funny story.  I made a bunch of these, but with a different pattern, and then realized the tools I used, get this, retired... awwww.... so here's another pattern and all the tools used are current!  Yay!

My plan is to take these to our Veterinarian's office as gifts.  I actually took a couple of the first pattern with sunflowers to them on Monday when we had to take Sweet Pea in for a check up.  The Vet loved hers so I decided to make more.  Of course I switched up the decoration to our Playful Pets Suite.

I fussy cut the pets from the Designer Series Paper.  The first version has cats and dogs.  I just realized I didn't make any of these with cats, but I'll be making more, I'm sure!

Here's the recipe, and I have to tell you, this was SO MUCH FASTER than the other one.  I promise, I'll show you those tomorrow because you may have the retired item to make that version as well.

Begin with a piece of cardstock - 2" x 8 1/2".  I recommend you cut just a smidge less than 2" so it fits easily into the tag topper punch.

Score at 3 3/4" and 4 3/4", then punch each end with the Scallop Tag Topper.

Cut a piece of matching Designer Series Paper 1 3/4" x 6 1/2".  Be sure the pattern faces the right way for making a band (so your paw prints or hearts aren't laying sideways).

Score at 1 1/4", 2 1/4", 4 1/4" and 5 1/4".  Fold to make a nice crease.

You can't see it very well, but next to the red lines below is a piece of Tear and Tape.

I put one in the middle so I could attach the DSP to the front of the cardstock so it wouldn't move around when wrapping and attaching to the back.

Place the hand bac inside and then tie the top together with string or ribbon and finish wrapping the DSP around to the back and attaching with the Tear and Tape.

I really think these are so cute!  Be sure to tie the top with a bow and not a knot so they can take the hand back out without having to cut it out.

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Friday!
