Happy Tails and Nine Lives

I spotted this design by Lee Ann Greff and fell in love with it.  Red, black and white have always been a favorite combination of mine.  Thank you Lee Ann (and congratulations again on your Million Dollar Milestone!) for some cute ideas!

The dog card is switched up a bit because the sentiment I chose didn't fit the other way.  It wasn't until I went to take the picture that I realized that this card won't stand up - oops!  I still like it though!

Inside I added a couple of dog bones also from the Happy Tails set.

Recipe:
Real Red - 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 7", scored and folded at 4"
Real Red - 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"
Basic Black - 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" (then die cut with the Stitched Shapes Square that is just smaller than 2 3/4" square)
Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper - 1 1/4" x 5 1/4" - attach to "inside" long edge of the Whisper White

Stamps:
Happy Tails Bundle (Stamps and Dog Builder Punch)
Nine Lives - goes with Cat Punch from the Annual Catalog
Cat Punch

Inside I added the ball of yarn also from the Nine Lives Set.

Thank you for looking in today!  We've finally made it to Friday!  Yayyyy!!

Bats, Cats and Ghosts, Oh My

Have you checked out the Black Foil Sheets yet?  They are shiny and fabulous.  Now, they're called "foil" but I really think Glossy Black Sheets fits better.  Either way, they are perfect for more Halloween Cards!

Did you notice the cats?  I'll give you a minute and come back to that question.

Be sure to read all the way to the bottom for an extra tip that I shared about the Spooky Sweets bats.

Recipe:
Glorious Grape - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Granny Apple Green - 5 1/4" x 4"
Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper - 5" x 3 3/4" (stripes are one side, the ghosts are the other side)
Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper - 3 3/4" x 1 1/4"
So Saffron - Moon - 2 1/4" Circle Punch
Black Foil Sheets - Cat Punch and Spooky Bats Punch
Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4" (inside)
Whisper White scraps for sentiments

Stamps:
Cauldron Bubble and Spooky Sweets
Ink - Memento Black and Gorgeous Grape

With fun Ghosts on the outside, I decided to stamp some more inside.  They are stamped with Gorgeous Grape, stamped off once to lighten them up.  The little ghost is from Cauldron Bubble.

Inside the striped card, I stamped the little cat, also from Cauldron Bubble.

Did you figure out the cats?  No, there isn't two cat punches one facing left and one facing right.  Simply turn the Black Foil Sheet over and punch from the white side for one and the black side up for the other.  Ta-da!

Thanks for looking in today!  It's finally Friday!

(p.s. - I added the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist to the list of supplies - because the bat stamps in the Spooky Sweets set have little lines where no ink should be for stamping, but my ink pad was really wet and the only way to get it clean was with the Stampin' Scrub to get in the little grooves.)

Kitty Kisses

If you love cats and kittens, you know there's nothing better than Kitty Kisses!  If you don't like cats, you'll still love these Kitty Kisses!

A big Thank You to LeeAnn Greff for her quick and easy project.  I just couldn't resist!  She has so many great ideas!

Simply punch out two cats from Basic Black card stock using the Cat Punch.  Cut a strip of matching card stock 3/4" x 2 1/2".  Score at 3/4" from each end of the 2 1/2" length.

Attach  a Hershey Kiss to the center of the strip with a glue dot.  Fold up the 3/4" piece on each side and attach to the inside of the two cats being sure the cats are facing the same direction with a glue dot on each side.  Use a small glue dot to attach the cat heads together and I rolled up a small glue dot to place between the tails.

I colored the Rhinestone Jewels with an orange Sharpie Marker.  I tried yellow, but it wasn't enough.  I love being able to color these jewels with Sharpie's to match most anything we make.

Thank you for looking in today.  I'll be in a Re-Certification class for work all day (ugh!) so hopefully I'll have some creative life in me when I get home to post something for tomorrow.

Happy Friday-Eve!

~ Donna
