Thank You - Later...

On Tuesday night I made chocolate chip cookies and a thank you card for my UPS Man because I knew he was bringing my workshop order from last weekend.  He loves my chocolate chip cookies, don't tell him they are made straight from the Toll-House package! 

Since I had to go to work, hubby was in charge of watching for him to be sure #1 that it was our regular guy and #2 that he didn't get away without his cookies.  I even put a note on the door outside for him to wait after he knocked.

In the afternoon, I received my email stating my package was delivered - I love that service from UPS!  So I called home and yes, my package arrived, but it wasn't "my guy".  Drats.  Thankfully hubby had the door open, so the driver never saw the note about waiting.  I guess next time.

Clean and simple and very easy to do.  Inside I wrote a note thanking him for bringing me all my Stampin' Up! goodies!  Guess I'll have to change the date when I do give it to him!

Party Panda Thanks

Perfect name for this stamp set for today's card.  These are my thank you notes to those at last weeks' Stampin' Up! (workshop) Party!

I can't give you a lot of details because this card has a bit of a surprise and if any of the recipients see this, I don't want to give away the surprise.  I promise though full details in a few days.

How do you like the cute "back of the card stamp" I got from Vippies?  Vippies is the company from where I ordered my little calendars.  I love it!

Party Panda... yes, again!

These panda cards are just going to keep popping up.

This one was actually designed from one of the Make & Takes we did at a team meeting in December, but mine came out as a disaster (see the last picture in this post) so I knew I had to do it again and do it right!  

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick Cardstock - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Tutti-frutti Designer Series Paper - 5" x 1" (punched with Banner Triple Punch) 
Whisper White Cardstock - die cut with Stitched Shapes (circle - just under 2")
Tutti-frutti DSP - punched with Balloon Punch (small balloon)

Stamp the Panda with the balloon onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock.  You only have to stamp the panda and just a bit of the string.  No need to stamp the whole thing.  Then using your Stitched Shapes Circle, die cut the panda.  After you've placed the Panda Circle onto the dotted DSP, you can hand draw the string and attach the punched balloon.

Inside I used more of the dotted paper and stamped the sentiment from Big on Birthdays.

This is what happened to my Make & Take, it is what happens when you rush and don't line the stamp up properly with the paper! 

See his hand and ear are stamped too high.  Sorry little guy!

Party with a Panda

Today I tried a couple of different ideas with the Party Panda's.  I have a favorite of the two I made, let's see which one you like best.

Recipe (Dot Card):  
Basic Black - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4"
Petal Passion Designer Series Paper - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Pacific Point - 3 3/4" x 2 1/4"
Whisper White - 3 1/2" x 2"

Recipe (Vine Card):  
Basic Black - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Petal Passion Designer Series Paper - 5 1/4" x 4"
Pacific Point - 4 1/4" x 2 1/4"
Whisper White - 4" x 2"

If you look closely, although it isn't a great picture, there is shading inside the Pandas belly and face.  I used my Basic Gray watercolor pencil and Blender Pen to smooth it out and to give some depth to the Panda.

The hat is colored with Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Markers.

I also added a little shading to the inside white parts of the Panda with my Basic Gray Watercolor Pencil and Blender Pen.
