Baby Shower Time

Today is actually baby shower #2.  I haven't posted the card from shower #1 yet because I'm still writing the instructions.  It was easy to do, but harder to give details.  You'll love it when you see it, I promise!

Two of Brittney's colors for Lovelia's room are Mint Macaron and Smoky Slate so here's a card with those colors.

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick cardstock - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Smoky Slate - 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
Mint Macaron - 4" x 5 1/4" - embossed with Subtle Embossing Folder

Smoky Slate - die cut with largest scallop from Layering Squares
Whisper White - 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"

Stamps:  Little Elephant
Inks: Mint Macaron and Smoky Slate
Punch:  Elephant Builder

Before I ran the Mint Macaron through the Big Shot with the Subtle Folder, I spritzed it with a bit of Shimmer Paint to give the paper a sparkle as well as making the embossing more defined.

Thank you for looking in today!  It's going to be a long weekend of crafting and baby shower preparation!

Happy Saturday!

Only 2 days left... don't miss this great opportunity.  I would LOVE to have you on my team!  Join Now.

Now is an Awesome Time to join Stampin' Up! Right now pay just $99 for $155 worth of products of YOUR CHOICE!!

We all have wish lists that can be quite long, and here is a way to get a lot for less! Stampin' Up! throws in a Free Past Paper Pumpkin kit too, just to show you what they are. And you will get a $10 coupon to use towards your first order.

You will enjoy a starting discount of 20% off, and that can grow to higher discounts as you go forward. There are other perks too! Quarterly Stampin' Success magazine with beautiful projects and articles about products and the business, many resources on the exclusive Demonstrator Website, an online community of other demos sharing ideas and tips, sneak peeks on upcoming products, and early purchase of products.

Of course the discount is what we love the most.

Here are some common questions:

Q. What if I want to do this as a hobby and not necessarily a business?
A. Stampin’ Up! supports all demonstrators, no matter their goals or the level at which they choose to run their business. If you choose not to hold workshops, you can simply place your own orders and/or collect orders from family and friends to equal the quarterly sales minimum.

Q. Do I have to recruit other demonstrators?
A. No. If you were to recruit demonstrators, you would be paid team commissions on your team’s sales, but this is a perk, not a requirement.

Q. Is Stampin’ Up! a well-known, respected company?
A. Since 1988, Stampin’ Up! has been selling stamps and papercrafting supplies. In that time, not only have we won industry awards and accolades, but also the loyalty and admiration of demonstrators and customers alike. And that is a trend that we work hard to maintain. You can rest assured that the reputation of Stampin’ Up! will only continue to improve!

Q. What if I decide that I don’t like it once I’ve started? Will I be penalized if I quit?
A. You may choose to stop at anytime, and you will not be penalized. You simply stop placing orders. However, there are many benefits to remaining an active demonstrator. If you have any questions about Stampin’ Up! or becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, please contact me.

Q. What are the minimum sales requirements?
A. You only need to submit $300 in orders per quarter (that's only $100 per month and if you have friends order with you, it's even easier! You can submit your sales in any increment you wish and still receive your 20 percent discount and commission (or 25 percent if you become a bronze elite title or above).
I would LOVE to have you on my team. The best time of year is now with the holiday catalog starting September 4th - but join now and you can get holiday orders in your starter kit!

A Headstart on Thank You

On Sunday Brittney and I whipped out 18 quick thank you note cards.  Yes, 18 is an odd number, but that was how many "thank you"'s we were able to get out of the paper we found.  Normally I wouldn't post anything that is retired or not "SU" stuff, but these were the stamps that the Momma-to-be wanted to use and we did use SU colors that match her baby's room.  Calypso Coral, Night of Navy and Mint Macaron.  Also Smoky Slate, but we didn't do cards with that color.

Recipe:  Whisper White Note cards and Envelopes
Stamps:  Flower Shop (retired)
Inks:  Calypso Coral, Night of Navy and Mint Macaron

I stamped the lined flower with full ink and the solid flower by stamping off once.

Brittney cut and poked out all the little pieces of the "Thank You" and we both attached them with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The gold foil actually came from a store nearby, we won't say where... LOL.  That's what happens when you have every color of foil cardstock in the catalog, except for the gold when I need it!

They really came out nicely, don't you think?

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Tuesday!

Here I Am!

Sorry to have been missing in action the last few days, but we've been doing some serious deep cleaning and purging and by the time midnight came, I was too tired to even think about making and posting something!

The good news is I've found my workspace again and have room to craft again and even had room for Brittney to come over and craft with me.  She was in need of some early thank you notes so we worked on those today.   It's been far too long since the two of us had a day of crafting together!

I'll post those cards later, but here's another quick one for us to make at the shower we're having in early September.

This is note card size, so 3 1/2" x 5"

Recipe:
Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes (not shown)
Smoky Slate - 3 1/4" x 4 3/4"
Calypso Coral from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack - Die cut with the next to largest Stitched Shapes Circle
Whisper White - Animal Outing Kangaroo and Koala

Stamps:  Animal Outing
Ink: Memento Black
Stampin' Blends: Crumb Cake Combo, Petal Pink Combo, Smoky Slate Combo

The colors are color choices that match the baby's room.  She's using Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron, Night of Navy and Smoky Slate.

Thank you for looking in today.  I hope to be more together now that I have a space to actually work in again.  Still a lot of purging to do, but the trash cans are as full as they can go.  Thankfully pick up is Monday (today)!

Happy Monday (which I'm grateful to go back to work and rest - Thursday through Saturday were exhausting!  LOL).

Baby Thank You Notes

Only two months to go until my office daughter Brittney has her baby girl!  I'm so excited because this will be my granddaughter!  Brittney is the closest thing I have to a real daughter, so baby will be a real granddaughter.

So, it's time to make some thank you notes that she can use.  We're having a cardmaking Baby Shower in early September and this is just one of the quick cards we will probably be making.

Recipe:
Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes - 3 1/2" x 5" (pre-cut and scored folded size)
Subtles Designer Series Paper (Blushing Bride) - 3" x 4 1/2"
Whisper White - 2" x 3 1/4"

Stamps:  Little Elephant
Ink:  Blushing Bride

Put these stamps on the Stamparatus and stamp, stamp, stamp!

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Wednesday!
