Class of 2016

Graduation time will soon be upon us, so today I have two cards for a couple of gals that will be graduating in May.  The school colors are Red, White and Black, so that was pretty simple to put together.

Here is card number one for my Boss' Granddaughter.  I can't believe she's going to soon be graduating and heading off to university.  It seems like she was just born!

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick Cardstock - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Real Red - 5 1/4" x 3"
Neutrals Color Collection (polka dots) - 5" x 2 3/4"

Large Numbers Framelits - Whisper White Thick Cardstock
1" Square Punch - for hat
Balloon Framelits - for tassel
Gold Foil Sheets (tassel)
Big News Stamp Set (congratulations) stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black

Inside Sentiment:  You're So Lovely stamped with Real Red

When I cut out the 2016 for the first card, I did my best to place them perfectly so I could use the cut out for a second card.

Real Red Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4
Whisper White Thick - 5" x 3 1/4"
Stamps - You're So Lovely (banner and congrats)

Inside sentiment - B.Y.O.P.

Thank you for looking in today!  Have a Blessed Sunday!    ~ Donna

Birthday Bunch

Time for some more Grateful Bunch!

Simple card with a big message.

Recipe:
Rose Red - 8 1/2" x  5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Timeless Elegance - 5 1/4" x 4"
Very Vanilla - 4 3/4"' x 3 1/2"

Stamps:  Grateful Bunch and You're so Lovely

Ink:  Memento Black  and Rose Red

Extras:  Baker's Twine Combo Pack; Subtles Candy Dots; Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Sharpie

I colored the Rhinestone Basic Jewels with a Sharpie the closest color  to Rose Red I could find.  Came out pretty good, don't you think?

Lovely Birthday

Although Sale-a-Bration is over, we still have two full months to play with all of the fun beautiful products in the Occasions Catalog and yes, the Annual Catalog.  Do you realize that soon we will be seeing the "Retiring List" and then the 2015-2016 Annual Catalog will be moving over for the 2016-2017 Catalog!

So... let's play with something from the Occasions Catalog.

The stamp set is called You're So Lovely (140762) on page 32 from the Occasions Catalog and is a 12 piece Photopolymer set.  I love the font on the little "enjoy your day" that I stamped over and over on the background.  Being Photopolymer, it was so easy to stamp and make it look great!

Recipe:

Rose Red - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"   and  3 1/8" x 3 1/8"
Basic Black - 5 1/4" x 4"  and  3 1/4" x 3 1/4"
Crumb Cake 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" (for embossing folder)   and 5 1/4" x 4" for inside.

Crumb Cake die cut with 2 3/8" die (I think the 5th one up from the smallest)
Basic Black - punched with 2 1/2" Circle Punch

Ink:  Rose Red and Soft Suede - I thought it would show up better than the matching Crumb Cake.

I made the bow by wrapping twine around two fingers and then around three fingers.  Then I pulled off the twine and pinched it together in the middle, then tying it with more twine.  I'll take pictures and show you in another post.  Attach it with a mini gluedot.

Tomorrow I think I'll try it again with Melon Mambo.  For now, it's time to post and get some sleep!  It's past midnight here.  I guess my late work hours are still hanging with me.

Thank  you for looking in today!  Happy Weekend ~ Donna

Bring Back Birthdays

I made a stack of cards on Sunday so I'm ready to start mailing Birthday Cards out to Friends, Family and Customers.  I'd love to send you a card too on  your special day.

This is all part of Shannon West's (from Stampin' Up!) #imbringingbirthdaysback campaign.  I think it's a fabulous idea and I want to do it too.

If you would like to receive a birthday card from me on your birthday (US Residents only please), email me your name, birthday (month and date) and your address and I'll be happy to send one to you.  It could be one of these, or something I've not yet created.  The fun is in the surprise!

Recipe:
Whisper White - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Soft Suede - 5 1/4" x 4
Designer Series Paper (Birthday Bouquet) 3 7/8" x 3
Soft Sky / Watermelon Wonder cardstock - 3 7/8" x 2 1/8"

Pool Party 3/8" Glitter Ribbon - 14" - tie in a knot and then trim off the extra

The Happy Birthday Sentiment is from You're So Lovely and the Ice Cream Cone and the Balloon (inside) is from Honeycomb Happiness.

I know that the color in the Designer Series Paper is Pool Party and that's what matches the ribbon, but for the ice cream on top of the Watermelon Wonder, I chose to use Mint Macaron as it seemed like a better color for ice cream!  You could even add some chocolate chips with the Chocolate Chip Stampin' Marker.

I just love this ribbon.  It is so pretty and is so easy to work with.

Thank you for looking in today.  This will be my 3rd day off celebrating President's Day tomorrow. I miss the old days when we had two days off in February - Lincoln's Birthday and Washington's birthday.  Oh for the good ol' days!

Happy Monday!

~ Donna
