Pillow Box Gift Packages

I have some little gifts that needed just a little something to package them up, so I reached for our Pillow Boxes.  So easy to dress up with anything you like.  Since these are for Christmas, I used Santa's Workshop Designer Series Paper, wrapped with Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies.

The belly bands are varied depending on the paper used and the layout of the pictures on the paper.  Basically about 2 - 2 1/2" wide and about 7" long to wrap around the pillow box.

Thank you for looking in today.  I'll show you what is inside later, after the recipients receive their gifts!

Happy Thursday!  Oh, and say a little prayer for our Tigger today, he's getting "tutored" (aka neutered).

Santa's Ghirardelli Holders

For those of you that don't know, earlier this year I was contacted by an Aunt that I didn't know I had.  Turns out she was the half sister of my birth Mother (I was adopted at birth - and never knew who my birth Mom was).  So, turns out she'd lived within miles of me most of my life, we may have even passed each other in a store or passing on the street.  She passed away three years ago, but some of the miniatures that she made are apparently still at the Independent Senior Living residence where she lived before she passed.  Now that my long work hours are over, I'm taking a quick trip to where she lived to see them and bring them home.  I'm so happy they kept them and said they are mine to have!

Well, I can't go without some little treats for the people that live and work there, just as a thank you.  I decided on some matchbook holders with Ghirardelli chocolates.  I found this pattern from The Papered Chef - the same lady that I found that turned me on to the Brother Scan n' Cut.

Recipe:
Santa's Workshop Designer Series Paper - 7 1/4" x 2 3/4" - be sure to cut so that the pattern of paper will fold and not be "sideways".  See below.

With the top of the paper on your cutter as shown above, score at 6 1/2", then 3 1/8" and then 2 7/8"
Fold on the score lines and staple the smallest fold up with two staples - to look like a matchbook.

Attach a Ghirardelli chocolate inside with a removable glue dot.  Tuck the edge under the small flap.

On top I attached some cut-outs also from the same Designer Series Paper  which I cut out with my Scan N Cut.  I love that thing!  I attached them with some Wobbles that I bought years ago and had dug out the other day.

You can see the spring under the Santa here.  They are so cute and fun when they wobble!

The "for you" is from Wood Words and punched with a 1" circle punch.  I also punched some scallops out of the back of the DSP that was red with the dots.

Aren't these cute and they were SO FAST to do!

Here are the Wobbles.

Thank you for looking in today!  Going to enjoy this week off, so today really is Happy Monday!

Winter Cheer

Before we begin... I wanted to share the link to the list of items that are excluded from the Online Extravaganza... click here to see the list.

These cute little snowmen have been waiting so patiently for me to get them out of the box and start stamping with them!  Do you notice anything about the little snowman?  He doesn't really come with ice skates, but he wanted to skate with his friend, so I added the "skate" part to his boots!

Recipe:
Garden Green - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Whisper White - 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
Santa's Workshop Designer Series Paper - 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White - 4 1/4" x 2 3/4"
Cherry Cobbler - scrap for sentiment

The snowmen are colored with Stampin' Blends:  Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie, Smoky Slate and Pool Party

Santa's Workshop Continues

I had so much fun on Sunday!  Last week my box of goodies came from Stampin' Up! so I could plan for my December 1st ~Lots of Cards - No Stamping~ card event.  It was great making so many cards and just enjoying crafting again.

Yes, I know what you are thinking, "but you've already been making some of those" and you would be right.

However, the Santa's Workshop Memories and More Cards and Envelopes are bigger than our basic notes and cards we make.  They are 6 1/4" x 4 1/4" for the large cards and 4 1/4" x 3 1/4" for the small ones.

I have to say, it was much faster and easier using the pre-made cards from the envelopes / card pack, because I didn't have to trim them to fit onto the card size we usually make.

Here are two of them below.

Below I used two of the smaller cards from the Memories and More card pack on the large base.  I also used some Garden Green card stock to help the HO HO HO pop off the card a bit.

Everything used on these cards come inside the Santa's Workshop Memories and More  card pack, except for the twine of course.  Also, if you want to add some mats around the cards, then you would need cardstock that matches.

Thank you for looking in!  Happy Monday!

Santa's Chair

Santa is taking a break after making all those toys!  Those little elves look mischievous though don't they?  Maybe waiting for Santa to drift off and then they can snag the cookies and milk!

Recipe:
Poppy Parade - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Memories and More - 5 1/4" x 4" (MERRY CHRISTMAS)
Memories and More - 4" x 2 3/4" (dotted)
Memories and More - 6 3/4" x 2 1/2" (Santa in the Chair)

The green scallop is part of the Memories and More cards.

Thank you for looking in today.  Thank you too, for being patient during my absence here and extra hours at the office.

Happy Saturday!

Most Wonderful Time

Another quick and easy card using Santa's Workshop Memories and More Card Pack

Make a couple of cuts, trim down the main focal card, add some twine and DONE!

I wish you could see the glittery circles on the background cardstock I used - also from the Santa's Workshop card pack.

Inside I added some of the shimmery snowflakes, also from the card pack.  These cards can't be any easier!

Happy MONDAY!  Have a Great Week.

It's an Elf Thing

Yup, it's me... I'm still alive.  Hopefully that will continue to be true!  For now I've made a few cards that I'm going to be doing in a class on December 1st, so at least I'll have something to share between now and then.

Here's the first one I'm sharing.  It's a little bit of casing the catalog and a little bit of adding a little extra.

On page 21 of the Holiday Catalog you will see Santa's Workshop Memories and More Card Pack and Santa's Workshop Memories and more Cards & Envelopes.  With various combinations you can make a variety of cards for Christmas and not have to have even one stamp or ink pad.  That's silly of course, we all LOVE our Stamps and Inks... but you could avoid them for this, if you wanted (but, trust me, you don't!)

I'm actually waiting for my cards and envelopes to arrive (I knew I was forgetting something on my last order!), so for these cards I simply made them the old fashioned way.

Recipe (as shown):

Poppy Parade - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Santa's Workshop - Striped Card 5 1/4" x 4"
Santa's Workshop - Elf Thing 4" x 3" (popped up with dimensionals)
The Santa's Hat is part of the card pack and the little Elf on the inside is also.

Thank you for looking in today.  Have a Blessed Sunday!

Casing the Catalog

Seemed like a good time to step away from the Halloween theme and see what else is in the Holiday Catalog so here is my Case the Catalog from page 18.  I did change the ribbon.  It seemed like there was too much red, or I should say, Poppy Parade, which is the color here.

Recipe:
Poppy Parade - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Santa's Workshop Specialty Designer Series Paper - 4 1/4" x 3 1/4" - dots (snipped at bottom as a banner)
Santa's Workshop Specialty Designer Series Paper - 3 1/4" x 1 1/4" - green
3/8" Whisper White Classic Weave Ribbon - 10"

The Santa is from the Designer Series Paper die cut with the Santa's Signpost Framelits.  This paper is so fun.  I wish you could see it in the picture, but the fuzz on Santa's hat and the pom-pom are actually flocked and fuzzy!  Several pieces on that page of DSP have the flocking and it just brings me back to my childhood.  Inside is a little Elfl cut from the same paper with the Framelits and his hat is flocked as well.

This is going to be a fun set to play with!

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Hump Day!
