I used to be so good at remembering birthdays, as a matter of fact, I can still spout off birthdays of friends from grade school, but keeping up with new dates and people just escapes me. Everything is written down, but that means remembering to LOOK in the birthday book! LOL
So this card is for Chris R. from Iowa. If read my comments area, you'll know that Chris R. from Iowa is very good at remembering and taking time to comment on my blog posts. Thank you Chris! Chris' birthday was, surprise, surprise, St. Patrick's Day. Could you tell?
Recipe:
Garden Green - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4"
Coffee Break Designer Series Paper - Hearts for Shamrock leaves. I used a retired punch, but the Sweet and Sassy Framelits work perfectly as well. I just wanted to punch instead.
I free handed the stem.
Inside, I made use of the big "Sorry" from Sorry for Everything. So nice to use it for something other than a Pet Sympathy!
How do you keep track and remember birthdays? I'm always up for suggestions.
Thank you for looking in today! Have a wonderful weekend!

Curvy Keepsakes Shamrocks
Just a quickie tonight since I've been spending so much time working on de-cluttering and re-organizing my craft area. Once that is done, I'll share before and after pictures!
Today we have a Curvy Keepsake Shamrock. So easy to make and the glimmer is awesome!
The shamrock is made using the wing and the stem from the Bird Builder Punch. Punch six (6) wings from the Gold Glimmer paper and attach each set of two (2) together with a mini-glue dot.
Punch the leave stem keeping some of the leaves attached. Using glue dots again, glue the wings to the leaves. Add additional glue dots to the wings so the shamrock will stick to the curved box.
Stamp "Lucky You" from And Many More or "Happy St. Patrick's Day" from Teeny Tiny Wishes. Attach with Gold 1/8" ribbon. Fill with gold chocolate coins or your little leprechaun's favorite treat!
Thank you for looking in today. Be sure to watch out for my craft room upgrades!

Punch Art Patrick
I saw this adorable idea done by Mary Fish and knew I had to give it a go. I changed up a few things but this is the gist of it. Isn't it great! Thank you Mary for a cute idea!
A while ago I saw something really cute done with the Mustache Die so I bought it and then couldn't remember what I saw or where I saw it. NOW I have a use for it and it's so perfect! One of these days I'm bound to find that original idea that I wanted to do!
Thank you for looking in today! To order from my store, just click on any of the items below.

The hat is made using the Wide Oval Punch and the Word Window Punch. The Word Window Punch is actually a bit short to make the brim to match the Wide Oval, so I cut a strip of Garden Green the same width as the Word Window would punch but made it longer than normal and the slipped the end into the Word Window punch to round the ends.
The Bow Punch worked with the Glimmer Paper better than I though it would. I was afraid it would be a bit thick, but it worked out fine.

Irish Wedding Owls
Somehow I almost put this one off too long! Yikes! My boss at the office needed a wedding card for a couple getting married on St. Patrick's Day and she like the owl cards so well for the Grandkids, that she wanted the wedding one to be similar.
So, here it is! I like how it turned out! The boy owl's eyes look a little dippy at the time of the picture... hope his real wedding pictures don't look like that! LOL

St. Patrick's Owl Punch Art
Here is my version of this cute card for St. Patrick's Day Owls. My boss wanted a card for her nephew and her neice so of course I had to make a boy owl and a girl owl!
I really like how they came out, even if the ribbon was a bit of a challenge!
I made the card base using the Card Base Pop 'n Cuts Die (130099). It's a great die for making any card base and the edges tuck in at the bottom.
To make the little "skirt" I took the 3/8" Stitched Satin in Gumball Green and tied a knot in one end and then carefully pulled out one of the white strips and gently gathered up the stitching on the ribbon to give it a ruffled look. I then used our red sticky tape on the owl and folded the end in and placed it on the sticky tape. Cut the knot off teh other end and carefully fold that end under and stick it down as well.

Guest Stamper - Linda - St. Patrick's Day
Linda spotted this idea on Connie Babbert's website and then changed it up a little. I love how she dressed it up with a cute glimmer red heart instead of a green for St. Pats Day.
Don't you just love all the great things we can make with the punches Stampin' Up! has? I know I do - they are so much fun to create with.
Linda's Recipe:
Tomorrow I'll show you the two cards I made that CASE Linda and Connie!

Just a quick post tonight as it's been a very long afternoon. Hubby's Aunt hasn't been feeling well and ended up at the doctor today, but she was too weak to go from there. When he arrived to pick her up the doc wanted her taken to the ER to be checked out and put on an IV. She's been unable to keep foods down and is dehydrated. After hours of waiting they finally got her hooked up to an IV and have decided to keep her overnight for a couple of nights - seems she has an infection that's going to need treatment.
So, tonight's card was made by Linda. She CASE'd it from France Martin "Frenchie" here. We just love listening to and watching Frenchie's videos and great ideas! It's hard to see but she used the Spritzer Tool to add some additional green around the card. I think it came out great!
Well, off to bed, Election Day tomorrow and I just know I'm going to have a hard time unwinding early to get some sleep!
Happy Monday!
