Peaceful Poppies

Oh My Goodness, just wait until you see this Designer Series Paper in person.  The name is Peaceful Poppies and these cards come from one of the prettiest sheets in the pack.  The DSP is 12" x 12" and this page is perfect without any additions except for perhaps a ribbon and sentiment, maybe some jewels!

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick Cardstock - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper - 4" x 5 1/4" (151324)

Stamps:
Peaceful Moments (bundled with Poppy Moments dies) (153824)
Ink:
Memento Black

I punched the sentiments with the Story Label Punch.

Thank you for looking in today.  Back to work after a few days off and oh my was it nice to just be lazy!

Peaceful Moments

I'm sure you've seen some other sneak peeks with these beautiful poppies (available beginning January 3, 2020), so here is what I've made to get going for our first sneak peek.  I'm happy to have finally made the time to sit down and play with mine.  Sadly, my first card needed to be a sympathy card for a dear friend whose sister passed away this week.  Always hard to lose a family member, but even harder at the holidays.

Recipe:
Calypso Coral - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Mossy Meadow - 4" x 5 1/4"
Whisper White - 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4" (inside panel)

Flowers:  Calypso Coral, Grapefruit Grove, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive with Basic Black centers.

Stamps and Dies:  Peaceful Moments Bundle (Peaceful Moments Stamps - Poppy Moments Dies)
Ink:  Memento Black

I always like to tell you how to learn from my mistakes, so here goes.  When you die cut the "outline" poppies, be sure to use adhesive sheets that can be attached to your card stock prior to cutting out the die.  Then it easily attaches without oozing glue!  If our Multipurpose Liquid Glue is all you have, it works best to avoid messes by just dabbing little dots of glue onto the back of your die cut paper, let it dry just a touch and it should adhere nicely without a mess.

Thank you for looking in today.  If you need a 2020 Mini Catalog, please email me at StampsWellWithOthers@gmail.com and I'll get one sent to you along with the Sale-a-Bration brochure.

Happy Saturday!

Tea and Cookies

I spotted this adorable little Tea and Cookies idea on Connie Stewart's blog.  We already had the tea, it is one of my husband's favorites, so all I needed was the cookies!  I recommend buying them at the store.  Some of mine were broken coming from Amazon.  Of course, if they hadn't shipped them with giant replacement batteries for hubby's drill, they would probably have been okay!  Sheesh!

You can get four bases out of a sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" card stock.

With the 8 1/2" across the top, score at 3/4", 3 7/8", 4 5/8" and 7 3/4"
With the 11" across the top, cut at 2 3/4", then the next piece at 2 3/4" and the third at 2 3/4" and you'll have four strips.

Round the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch:

You will need the largest Stitched Labels Square Die to cut Real Red and Whisper White for inside.  The Real Red goes over the Tea Bag and the Whisper White I stamped with the snowman and placed over the two packages of cookies.

Use the 2nd largest to cut out the poem, which I will be happy to email the document to you, and the Real Red on the front that goes over the Designer Series Paper.  I'd post the document, but I haven't figured out how to add it to this blog!  Anyone know how, let me know!

Use the next smallest to cut Whisper White for the front sentiment.

Designer Series Paper is 2 5/8" x 3"
Ribbon - 20 inches - adhere to the middle of the Designer Series Paper so it won't slip out when untied.

Here is the tea bags  - SO YUMMY - Harney & Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice.  Be sure you have wrapped tea bags.  Harney and Sons also has loose bags.  The cookies are so wonderful.  Be sure to buy extra because you will need to sample them with the tea, ask me how I know!

Stamps:  Snowman Season
Ink:  Pool Party
Designer Series Paper - Let It Snow
Cardstock - Real Red, Whisper White
3/8" Cotton Ribbon - Real Red

Thank you for looking in today and for being patient waiting for another post.  I just haven't had crafting in me after losing our Nike.  Miss that little guy!

Happy Thursday!

Snow Front Birthday

I know I should share the card first, but our sweet little Nike has to come first today.  So, before I share today's card, I have sad news to share.  I know several of you have asked about Nike's health in the past and I've appreciated it all so very much.  Sadly, on Tuesday, December 10th, but we had to say goodbye to our little guy.  He was such a sweet and loyal little dog.  If hubby and I were in different rooms, he would find a place that he could keep an eye on us both, or at least try.  Couldn't ask for a better friend.

He will be greatly missed.  Rest in Peace little man and remember, people wearing hats are good people too!  :)

So, on to today's card.  This is a birthday card for a friend of ours.  Hopefully it will arrive in time since I'm running a little late with all the issues surrounding Nike.

Playful Penguins Warm My Heart

These sweet little Playful Penguins will be gone soon with the Year End Clearance, so if you love them as much as I do, you best get them before they are sold out!

Today's card is one of our cards from this weekend workshop.  For our card today, it can be used as a simple friendship card or a Christmas card.

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick cardstock - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Gold Foil cardstock - 4" x 5 1/4"
Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper - 3 3/4" x 3" (attach at the top of the Gold Foil)
Whisper White 3 3/4" x 5" - tear into pieces to look like snow hills.

Whisper White scraps to stamp and fussy cut the penguins.  No dies for these guys, but they are easy to cut.  Just remember to leave a little border, it looks better that way.

Want to know what warms my heart more than these penguins?  You guessed it, my sweet little Granddaughter, Lovelia.  She came to our workshop with her Mommy and I loved every minute!  Look how big she's getting.  2 months old already!

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Monday!

Andes Mint Gifts

I've anxiously been waiting to share these with you, but I wanted to give them to their recipients first.  That was accomplished Saturday at our December Workshop.  I saw these on Connie Stewart's page and loved them so much I immediately went out shopping for mints!  Thank you Connie for such a fun and remarkably easy project!

To make the card on top of the box:

Cardstock - 5 1/2" x 6 3/8", scored and folded at 2 3/4"
Whisper White - 2 5/8" x 6 1/4"

Start with a piece of cardstock 6 3/8" x 8 1/2"
Score at 1 7/8", 2 3/4", 5 3/4" and 6 5/8"

Fold on each of the score lines with a bone folder giving a nice crisp crease.  Place a box of Andes' Mints in the middle and wrap the cardstock around the box.  Using Tear & Tape or Liquid Glue (your choice) seal the flap over the box - being careful not to get glue on the box itself or it won't slide out!  Don't wrap too tightly though, so the candy slides out easily.

Pick your favorite piece of Designer Series Paper - 6" x 6".  If the pattern makes a difference, be sure to turn it like the paper below so the pattern looks right on the box top.

Cut the 6" x 6" so that you have the following:

2 1/2" x 6"
1/2" x 6" (cut two)
3/4" x 6" (cut three)

On the 3rd 3/4" x 6", trim it to 2 7/8" pieces so you have two 3/4" x 2 7/8".

The small strips will cover the open spaces on the mint box.  The 1/2" x 6" go on top, the 3/4" x 6" go on the front and back and the 3/4" x 2 7/8" go on the ends.

How many will you be making?  I'm going to making more, that's for sure!

Plus... different paper, different occasions!  Birthday, Valentines, Anniversary, the list goes on and on!

Thank you for looking in today!  Have a Blessed Sunday!
