Andes Mint Gifts

I've anxiously been waiting to share these with you, but I wanted to give them to their recipients first.  That was accomplished Saturday at our December Workshop.  I saw these on Connie Stewart's page and loved them so much I immediately went out shopping for mints!  Thank you Connie for such a fun and remarkably easy project!

To make the card on top of the box:

Cardstock - 5 1/2" x 6 3/8", scored and folded at 2 3/4"
Whisper White - 2 5/8" x 6 1/4"

Start with a piece of cardstock 6 3/8" x 8 1/2"
Score at 1 7/8", 2 3/4", 5 3/4" and 6 5/8"

Fold on each of the score lines with a bone folder giving a nice crisp crease.  Place a box of Andes' Mints in the middle and wrap the cardstock around the box.  Using Tear & Tape or Liquid Glue (your choice) seal the flap over the box - being careful not to get glue on the box itself or it won't slide out!  Don't wrap too tightly though, so the candy slides out easily.

Pick your favorite piece of Designer Series Paper - 6" x 6".  If the pattern makes a difference, be sure to turn it like the paper below so the pattern looks right on the box top.

Cut the 6" x 6" so that you have the following:

2 1/2" x 6"
1/2" x 6" (cut two)
3/4" x 6" (cut three)

On the 3rd 3/4" x 6", trim it to 2 7/8" pieces so you have two 3/4" x 2 7/8".

The small strips will cover the open spaces on the mint box.  The 1/2" x 6" go on top, the 3/4" x 6" go on the front and back and the 3/4" x 2 7/8" go on the ends.

How many will you be making?  I'm going to making more, that's for sure!

Plus... different paper, different occasions!  Birthday, Valentines, Anniversary, the list goes on and on!

Thank you for looking in today!  Have a Blessed Sunday!

~ Donna
