September 1st - The Day We've Waited For!

Today the Holiday Catalog goes LIVE!  All those great samples you've seen on the internet are now just a click away.

All the Fall Holidays are fast approaching and will be here before you know it.  Take some time to flip through the catalog and get that first order in!

Get ready for some Special Offers!

You  can save 25% on select annual catalog products through September 21 ! Check out the discounted products each week. Don’t miss out on these great deals!

Check back often, because discounted products will change weekly.

For those of you who check in regularly, you will know that this is Primary Election week in Arizona and working for the County Election Office, I've been putting in some long hours and just haven't had time to make anything.

Please keep checking back each day though, you never know when I'll find time to make and share something!

Silent Night Sleigh Ride

Here are two different versions of the same card using two different techniques.  Which one do you prefer?

I CASE'd (Copy And Share Everything) from Tami White a week or so ago and am finally getting to posting this.

The first one was done with Tami's technique of using the brayer.  I don't think I have very good brayering skills.

This one I did with Sponge Daubers, trying to get the colors to blend a little better.  I kind of like them both now, because looking at the top one, the light blue line kind of looks like another hill in the distance with the dark color being the sky.

The "silent night" was stamped with VersaMark and then Silver Embossing Powder and heated with the heat gun.  Sadly, these pictures don't show the shine at all, but it's there and it's fabulous!  Trust me!  :)

The stars are also stamped with VersaMark and then used White Embossing Powder and the heat gun.  After inking the blues, simply wipe over the stars with a soft tissue to make the white again.

Did you notice the great little "shadow".  This is my favorite part of the card!

To make the shadow, die cut the sleigh and horse out of Night of Navy and carefully attach it to the Whisper White.  Isn't that a great effect?

Now, I bet you're wondering why I'm showing you these ornaments cut out of the Silver Foil Paper.  Well, I firmly believe in being frugal, especially when it comes to our Foil Paper.  Why waste an entire quarter of paper when you can die cut some beautiful ornaments from the center.  No one will ever know (unless they're reading this too!) so you can save paper and create other fabulous cards or projects at the same time.

If you have any questions about the process, please let me know.

Thank you for looking in today.  I hope you have a Stampy Fun Weekend!!

Let It Snow.

Here is another fun card made using the Happy Scenes / Hearth & Home Bundle (140853).  Have I mentioned how much I love this great window?  I've been hoping for a very very long time that Stampin' Up! would put this in our collection.  I hope it lasts beyond the Holiday Catalog!

Recipe:

Card Base:  Soft Sky - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Layer:  Night of Navy  4 7/8" x 3 5/8"
Behind the Window:  Whisper White 3 1/4" x 2 1/2"

Tips and Tricks:  To be sure you stamp the "snowflakes" in the corner of the window, lay the window over the Whisper White piece.  Put a small dot in the corner with a pencil.  Also, make a small dot where you want your trees to line up.  I decided by where I wanted the top of the largest tree to be.

Since the stamps are Photopolymer, you can see exactly where the dots are you mark and can easily stamp perfectly.

I also added a little bit of Soft Sky with my Sponge Dauber around the snowflakes and the sky and a little bit on the snowy hill.

Unlike yesterday's card (if you missed it, you can see it here), I bumped the window frame up off of the scene to add dimension and depth to the window itself.

Thank you for stopping in today - I hope you'll come back again tomorrow!

Is Your Wish List Ready?

This has to be one of the BEST Holiday Mini Catalogs I've seen from Stampin' Up!  They just get better and better each year.  There are so many things I love in there and I know you will too.

If you don't yet have a copy and would like one, please let me know and I'll get it to you as quickly as possible.  Simply email me at StampsWellWithOthers@gmail.com and it will be off to you right away!

Although I don't really decorate for Halloween, I just couldn't resist this very cute Witching Decor Project Kit.  I'm having a group of gals come over on September 19th and can't wait to see their reaction to this great project in person.

One of my very favorite items in the Holiday Mini is the Hearth & Home Thinlits Dies and the great Happy Scenes stamps that go in (or outside) the window.  Get them as a bundle on page 11 - 140853 -- Photopolymer Stamps and the Window Frame and Ledge.

The Window can even be used to make a fireplace, simply by cutting out the "window frames" inside and matching it up with Festive Fireplace stamps.

I hope you enjoy these two sneak peeks at some fun new items.

Please contact me or place an order online at my store.

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Thursday!

Selfie Mirror and Witching Decor

The Selfie Mirror

I wanted to share a couple of cute pictures that I'd forgotten about from Convention.  We stayed at the Marriott and right near the elevator there was this great mirror all decorated up for people to use to take a fun "selfie".  I even got the hubster to take a picture and actually look a little happy doing it!  ha ha!

Except for people walking up behind, they aren't bad pictures.

Witching Decor Project

In the Holiday Mini Catalog, there is this great Witching Decor project that I can't wait to assemble.  Mine arrived today in the mail!  Wooo Hooo!

The kit is $22.00 and the matching stamp set, Witches' Night is $26.00 in photopolymer.

On September 19th I'm going to be doing a Project Day where we can put them together as a group.  It will be a fun day.  If you are in the Phoenix area and think you'd like to join us, let me know.  This will be a pre-paid event so I can order the kits as soon as the catalog goes live.  The cost for the event will be $30.00.  I have the stamp set, so there's no need to order that, unless you want it of course!

The finished project is approximately 13 inches high and 13 inches wide.

Isn't this a great project?  My favorite holiday is Christmas, but I really do like how this looks and think it will be great fun to put together and use.

Thank you for looking in today ~  Happy Friday!

Among the Branches & Weekly Deals

So happy to come home Monday and find my box of goodies that I was able to pre-pre-order select items from the 2015 Holiday Mini we received at Convention.  Beginning today I can order anything I want from the Holiday Mini.

My list is quite long... so I need to figure out what to do first!  Decisions, decisions!

For today I decided to do my best to copy one of the cards featured inside the mini catalog.  Since I didn't have all the same things, I made do with what I have but I'm really happy with how these came out.

Aren't these spider web doilies great?  Even better that I was able to use some of the leftover that i trimmed off and added it to the inside of the card for added "spooky".

These items will all be available in the upcoming 2015 Holiday Mini.  If you don't already have a Demonstrator, I would love to send you a mini catalog and add you to my mailing list.  Just send me an email with your information.  Email me at  StampsWellWithOthers@gmail.com.

Thank you for looking in today!

Christmas Joy

A couple more Christmas cards for today, until I receive me pre-pre-order on Monday and then I don't promise what I'll be posting.  I have some really FUN things coming and I can't wait to play with them after work on Monday.

Using the Your Presents stamp set, you can use the kissing technique and make a nice "plaid" looking design on your cards.  How cool is that!

I'll admit, it does take some practice, but when you get it, there are so many great options.  I hope you'll give it a try.

Thank you for looking in and don't forget, if you need a holiday catalog, let me know and I'll be happy to send you one if you don't already have a demonstrator you purchase from.  I'd love to be your demonstrator.

Joy Fold Card for Christmas

This Joy Fold Card was shared on the blog Too Cool Stamping by Angie Leach.  I loved it so much I got right to work on making some.

I started by making a thank you card or two... and then some birthday cards and then I just had to do one with the free set I received at Convention "Your Presents" and the DSP (Designer Series Papers) we also received "Season of Cheer".  Thank you Angie for the great instructions and awesome card!

I believe I'll be making more of these.  They are fun and easy and really have a nice look to them.

Begin with a base of 7" x 5 1/2" then score it at 2 3/4" to make a shortened front cover.  For this card I used Mossy Meadow.

The second card layer is 6 1/2" x 4 1/2", scored at 3 1/4", I used Real Red for this layer.

Cut a piece of DSP 5 3/8" x 2 5/8".  Be sure when you choose your DSP, that it will be visually correct for the side panel (you don't want your hanging lights laying sideways).

Cut two pieces of cardstock on which you will be stamping - 4 3/8" x 3 1/8".  Here I used Whisper White.

The sentiments for the front come from Your Presents and Crazy About You.  I wanted the word "Christmas" to go in front of "Joy" but loved the way "Celebrating" worked out.

Inside I stamped the Christmas trees from Your Presents using my Stamp-a-Majig so they would line up.  The inside sentiment comes from Wondrous Wreath (135047) which was a set carried over from last Christmas into this year's Annual Catalog.

To find everything to make these cards (except the new stamps and designer series paper) click on any of the photo links below.  Beginning September 1st you can order them from the Holiday Mini catalog which should begin mailing this week.

If you don't have a regular Demonstrator and would like a Free Holiday Mini or even a full size Annual Catalog, just email me and I will be happy to send you one.  If you'd like to order from the Holiday Mini even sooner (August 4th) contact me and JOIN MY TEAM!

Thank you for looking in today!
