Varied Vases - Going Soon

This set, Varied Vases, was designed by Mary Fish as her $1,000,000 sales achievement.  I'm really sorry to see it going away so soon.  It hasn't been used nearly enough.  Same is true for Vibrant Vases which is also retiring.  The good thing however, is that the punch, Vases Builder, that goes with it is NOT retiring, so you can still punch pretty vases and flowers.

On Friday, I watched Ronda Wade do a live workshop and this is one that she made.  I made two different sizes on the die cut.

Recipe:
Mango Melody - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Mango Melody - 4" x 5 1/4"
Whisper White - die cut with Stitched So Sweetly rectangles (I used the 2nd and 3rd down from the largest)
Whisper White scraps for stamping the vase - punched with Vases Builder
Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4" - inside panel

Stamps: Varied Vases
Ink: Mango Melody, Memento Black, Granny Apple Green (stem)
Ribbon: Polka Dot Tulle (NOT RETIRING!)
Dies: Stitched So Sweetly

Thank you for looking in today.  I pray that you are all safe and healthy.

Blessings ~

Casing the Catty with Vases

Isn't it great that our catalog has so many great examples of cards and projects?  It is especially nice when my brain can't come up with an idea!

So today, I'm going to CASE a card from page 45 in the new Stampin' Up! Catalog.  Today's card was designed using the Varied Vases Bundle.  This bundle contains 34 Photopolymer stamps and a punch for three vases, one flower and a leaf.  I love punches!

My Recipe:
Pineapple Punch (cardstock, not a punch!) 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Grapefruit Grove - 3 3/8" x 3"
Whisper White - 3 1/4" x 2 7/8"
Whisper White scraps for stamping and punching
Embossing Folder - Petal Burst

Stamps - Varied Vases
Ink - Blackberry Bliss, Lemon Lime Twist, Pear Pizzazz, Melon Mambo, Powder Pink

Pear Pizzazz Shimmer Ribbon - criss-crossed behind the Grapefruit Grove
Faceted Dots

Thank you for looking in today!  Have a Fabulous Friday!

Paper Piecing Vases

How about some Paper Piecing?  You know, the first time I saw that on someone's blog, I thought it said Paper Piercing - you know, like poking holes in something.  I couldn't for the life of me see any holes poked anywhere, so I read it more carefully and realized it was PIECING...  ha ha ha!  Have you ever done that?  So embarrassing... and yet, here I am sharing it with you!

The Varied Vases Bundle is so much fun to use and the possibilities are endless.  Today I stamped the vases onto the base piece of paper and then added the flowers and leaves.  To get your vases nice and straight - line them up on your grid paper - stamp side down.

This way you can simply place your clear block over the stamps and they are ready to ink up and stamp.

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Lovely Lipstick - 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White - 5" x 3 3/4"

Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper - stamped and punched with Varied Vases

Stamps:  Varied Vases
Ink: Memento Black
Stampin' Blends: Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Calypso Coral

Thank you for looking in today.  Happy Hump Day!

Varied Vases Sneak Peek

This Varied Vases Bundle is going to be a big hit. It already is for me.  I'm probably a little partial to it though because I've met the creator of this set, Mary Fish and she's just so sweet and talented.  I'm proud to say she's from the great state of Arizona!

Recipe:
Grapefruit Grove - 11" x 4 1/4", scored and folded at 5 1/2"
2018-2020 In Color 6" x 6" DSP cut to 5 1/2" x 2 1/2"
Whisper White - 4 3/4" x 3"
Whisper White - scraps for stamping vases
Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4" (inside)

To make stamping and punching a breeze, punch a template into a scrap piece of cardstock.  Lay the vases onto the punched areas with the stamp side down.  Once you have them placed just right, lay a clear block over the stamps and you're ready to stamp and punch.

Ink up your stamps with whatever color you wish - I used Memento Black and stamp away.  Then all you have to do is punch the trio.  Before punching, if you wish to have some "water" in your vase, here is the best way to do that.

Lay your stamp onto your shade of blue - this is Pool Party - and then carefully line it up with your pre-stamped vases.

Then you are ready to punch.

Thank you for looking in today!  Mark your calendars for June 1st so that you can order this Bundle and start making fun cards!

Have a blessed Sunday.  We'll be watching the Indy 500 here.  I love all the opening ceremony stuff.
