My Masculine Swap Card

Monday night was our Team Meeting and Swaps.  This month the theme was Masculine Cards.  They all came out really nice.

Here is my card for tonight and I'll show you some of the others in the next days.

Recipe:
Chocolate Chip (retiring) - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Very Vanilla - 5 1/4" x 4"
Crumb Cake 5" x 3 3/4"

Stamps:
Country Livin'
We Must Celebrate

Ink:
Early Espresso

I started by stamping the boots on the Crumb Cake as shown below and then used my Stampin' Blends Crumb Cake to add a little color and shading.  I also made a couple of them using a Blender Pen and ink from inside the cap.  I decided I liked the Stampin' Blends best.

Then I stamped the guitars onto another piece of Crumb Cake and then used my Scan 'n Cut to cut them all out.  Thank goodness for that wonderful creation!

A little tip on adding the Burlap Ribbon.  I originally put it down with Tear n' Tape because that stuff sticks to anything... except a strip of Burlap!  I added a large gluedot under the end and that held everything in place.

Thank you for looking in today.

It's Hump Day!  Do you know what Friday is?  Leave a comment if you know.

My Birthday Child in Honduras

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for my Sponsored Child in Honduras.  A couple of years ago I decided to join up with Compassion International through the Christian Radio Station I've been listening to for years now.  When trying to figure out a child I wanted to Sponsor, I found out that I could choose one that shared the same birthday as mine.  There were only a couple of them at the time, but one of them was a girl and since I have two son's, it was an easy choice!

Her name is Litzy and she's 10 years old going to be 11 years old on May 25th this year. Because it takes SO LONG to get mail back and forth (I just received her letter written in October), now is the time to send her birthday greeting to her.  I decided I wanted to make a card - even though they provide paper with birthday greetings or you can write to them online, but this year, she gets this fun card below.  Hopefully it arrives in time!

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick Cardstock - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Melon Mambo - 4" x 5 1/2"
Whisper White - 3 1/2" x 5"

Stamps: We Must Celebrate
Ink:  Archival Black, Bermuda Bay
Stampin' Blends:  Smoky Slate, Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette, Bronze
Stampin' Write (for confetti) - a variety!

I hope she likes it!  It was fun to make and it just seemed like a perfect card.

If you would be interested in sponsoring a child, check out their website:  Compassion International.  The cost is very affordable, only $38.00 per month and the joy you can bring to a child who has little to no hope, is worth 10 times that amount.  They will write to you and you can write to them and send gifts through the program.  I look forward to the letters I receive and I sure enjoyed making this card for her.

Thank you for looking in today.  Have a Happy Saturday!  I'll be stamping with friends at Kathy's workshop today!  Yayyy!!

Team Swap Shares - We Must Celebrate!

Sharing the swap card of my fearless leader, Lorri Heiling, from our weSTAMP Team Meeting Monday night.  I think this is just adorable and wouldn't it make a sweet baby card too, just change the sentiment on the tag!  Blue or Pink!

I'm going to guess at the measurements, since I left it at the office with the other swaps to show off to my work stampers.

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick Cardstock - 8 1/2" x5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Powder Pink (I think) - 5 1/4" x 4 - scored with Simple Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
Whisper White Tag  - with Scalloped Tag Topper and Banner Triple Punches and a Circle Punch.

The cute little bunny comes from the 2018 Occasions Catalog called We Must Celebrate.

Ribbon - 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon in Powder Pink (that's why I think the Paper is Powder Pink!)

Awesome Job Boss!  I think I'll be making these for sure!

Thank you for looking in today.  Heading to bed (early for me) after a long election day in Maricopa County.  It was a slow day, those can be worse than the long hard ones sometimes!

Happy Hump Day!
