Happy New Year!

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!

To celebrate, I'm going out tonight with some friends to a concert!  Can you believe that?  I'm 59 years old and this is the first time I've ever been out to a concert - or any event actually - on New Years Eve!  Crazy!!  We're going to go see Home Free - a fabulous vocal band who sing beautifully.  Check them out HERE.

Today's card celebrates with bright lights and fireworks!

Recipe:
Night of Navy - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4" (cut two - one for inside as well)

Stamps - Making Every Day Bright, Timeless Tidings and Waterfront
Ink - Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy, Real Red, Pacific Point, Smoky Slate and Pumpkin Pie

The bulb stamp I used is the one with the heart in the middle, but I covered it with a rhinestone that I colored with the Daffodil Delight Dark Stampin' Blend.

Thank you for looking in today!  Let's all get ready to start a Shiny New Year!

Butterfly Gala Photo Bomb

I had a helper while making these cards, well, at least while I was taking pictures to share!  Say hello to Tigger the Photo Bomb kitty!  I've managed to put a t-shirt off to the side that he likes to sit on while I'm working. He doesn't stay still long, but it's nice when he falls asleep there like my Suzi used to do.

Today's card is another one made with the Butterfly Gala Bundle and the Gingham Gala  6" x 6" Designer Series Paper that will be available on January 3rd.

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick cardstock - 4 1/4" x 11", scored and folded at 5 1/2"
Balmy Blue - 4" x 5 1/4"
Gingham Gala Balmy Blue DSP - 2" x 5 1/4"

The butterflies were stamped with Memento Black and colored with watercolor pencils Balmy Blue and Coastal Cabana.  Then blended them with a Blender Pen.  Punched them out with the butterfly punch that comes with the bundle.

I was able to make two cards and one envelope with one sheet of the 6" x 6" Gingham.  Could make three cards if I didn't do the envelope.

Here's my photobomber again... Say Happy Sunday, Tigger!

Thank you for looking in today.  Have a Blessed Sunday!

Just a Note Butterfly Style

I've been anxious to play with this new Gingham Gala 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.  I've loved gingham since 7th grade when we all made aprons in Home Economics.  It's a shame they don't teach the things we learned in Home Ec and Shop.  Oh for the good ol' days!

My apron was even this color!  Well, it was a light purple, but now we call it Highland Heather!

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick - 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Highland Heather - 5 1/4" x 6", scored and folded at 4"
Whisper White (inside) - 3 3/4" x 5"
Gingham - 2 1/2" x 5"
Whisper White Oval - cut with Stitched Shapes largest oval

Stamps: Butterfly Gala
Ink:  Memento Black and Night of Navy
Stampin' Blends - Calypso Coral Combo

Thank you for looking in today.  I can't believe it is Friday already.  My week off from work has just flown by and I hate the idea of going back next week.  Thank goodness that won't be until Wednesday with Monday off and Tuesday as New Year's Day!

Happy Friday!

Sending Prayers to a Friend

It is never easy to have a family member or friend pass away, but to me it seems even more difficult during the holidays.  Unfortunately, there have been a few just in the last couple of weeks.  This particular card is for my dear friend who lost her Mother on December 23rd.  To make it even more difficult, my friend's birthday was the 24th and then of course Christmas Day.

Recipe:
Highland Heather - 11" x 4 1/4", scored and folded at 5 1/2" - embossed with the Subtle Dynamic Embossing Folder
Crumb Cake - 4 1/2" x 3 1/2
Whisper White - 4 1/4" x 3 1/4"

I stamped the branches with Crumb Cake and added the flowers in Highland Heather.  I stamped the bow onto a separate piece of Whisper White and fussy cut it out and popped it up with Dimensionals.

I added some Rhinestones, but I kind of think I like it better without them in the picture below that I took before I added them.

What do you think?

Thank you for looking in today.  Happy Thursday!

Merry Christmas Eve!

I wanted to make a couple of extra little boxes to deliver some of our holiday fun tonight with the kids.  We enjoy doing scratchers tickets on Christmas Eve so I thought these would be a fun box to deliver them in.

As shown below, they also work for cookies and candies!  The boxes are food safe, so that makes it nice too.

These were so easy to do, very very fast!

Mini Pizza Boxes
Top and Bottom - 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" Designer Series Paper of your choice.
Sides - 3 1/4" x 3/4"
Attach with Tombo Multipurpose and let them dry.

Ta Da!

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas with Family and Friends.  Have a Blessed Day!

Just a Note

I have a confession... the main reason I bought this set - Wishing You Well - is for that gorgeous bow.  Now that I have used it, I really love it and not just for the bow, but I do love that bow!

Recipe:
Cherry Cobbler - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Mossy Meadow - 5 1/4" x 4"
Cherry Cobbler - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" - embossed with Subtle embossing folder
Whisper White for stamping
Mossy Meadow for oval mat.
Mossy Meadow - 3 7/8" x 3/4"

The first one I stamped the greenery full strength but it seemed too dark, so I did another one stamped off once.  Once they both dried completely, I think either one would be fine and it wasn't too dark after all.

What do you think?

Thank you for looking in today.  Have a Blessed Sunday!
