Playful Pets Anti-Bac Gifts

So... funny story.  I made a bunch of these, but with a different pattern, and then realized the tools I used, get this, retired... awwww.... so here's another pattern and all the tools used are current!  Yay!

My plan is to take these to our Veterinarian's office as gifts.  I actually took a couple of the first pattern with sunflowers to them on Monday when we had to take Sweet Pea in for a check up.  The Vet loved hers so I decided to make more.  Of course I switched up the decoration to our Playful Pets Suite.

I fussy cut the pets from the Designer Series Paper.  The first version has cats and dogs.  I just realized I didn't make any of these with cats, but I'll be making more, I'm sure!

Here's the recipe, and I have to tell you, this was SO MUCH FASTER than the other one.  I promise, I'll show you those tomorrow because you may have the retired item to make that version as well.

Begin with a piece of cardstock - 2" x 8 1/2".  I recommend you cut just a smidge less than 2" so it fits easily into the tag topper punch.

Score at 3 3/4" and 4 3/4", then punch each end with the Scallop Tag Topper.

Cut a piece of matching Designer Series Paper 1 3/4" x 6 1/2".  Be sure the pattern faces the right way for making a band (so your paw prints or hearts aren't laying sideways).

Score at 1 1/4", 2 1/4", 4 1/4" and 5 1/4".  Fold to make a nice crease.

You can't see it very well, but next to the red lines below is a piece of Tear and Tape.

I put one in the middle so I could attach the DSP to the front of the cardstock so it wouldn't move around when wrapping and attaching to the back.

Place the hand bac inside and then tie the top together with string or ribbon and finish wrapping the DSP around to the back and attaching with the Tear and Tape.

I really think these are so cute!  Be sure to tie the top with a bow and not a knot so they can take the hand back out without having to cut it out.

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Friday!
