Love You to Pieces

This is one of those sets that I knew I wanted and then when I saw so many cute things made with it I knew I had to have it sooner.  The actual puzzle die for this is actually only 4 pieces x 4 pieces to make a square of 16 pieces, but because the pieces are precisely made to fit together in as many rows as you want, it is easy to make it bigger or even smaller.  Just cut more pieces and put it all together.

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Basic Black 5 5/16" x 3 9/16 - yes, 16th's the tiny dit between the 1/8ths.
Real Red - 4" x 4" (for die cutting puzzle)
Whisper White - 4" x 4" (for die cutting puzzle)
Whisper White 5 1/8" x 3 3/8" (the piece to glue the puzzle pieces onto)

Start with a Whisper White piece of paper 5 1/8" x 3 3/8" which is just a smidge smaller than the finished piece with all the puzzle pieces attached.  When you attach the pieces, simply start with them off the base piece by just a smidge (1/16th of an inch or less).  This is NOT like doing a real puzzle, don't do all the edges first.  ha ha ha!  Do a row at a time by putting down a squiggle of Tombo Multipurpose Glue, start at the corner and work your way across.  Each piece will fit nicely into each other piece.  Just slide them together before you move on to the next piece.

Here is how the back will look with the pieces all attached.  See just a bit is over so you won't be able to see the base piece.

For this card, I needed to have a mat around the pieces so the white pieces didn't just fade into the background.  I made a black and white one as well and it could be put onto a color and you wouldn't need the mat around them.

I stamped the sentiment with Real Red onto Whisper White and then die cut it out with a circle from Stitched Shapes and then a scallop circle in Basic Black from Layering Circle Dies.

The ribbon is 1/8" Real Red Solid Ribbon and attached it with a rolled up Glue Dot.  Here you can really see how nicely the pieces fit together.

Thank you for looking in today.  Here's to another week!
