Washi Background

As a Demonstrator, I like to use up all that I can before the new products come in, so today I wanted to use more of the Cherry On Top Washi Tape (retiring).  Apparently I really like it because I have two rolls of each roll!

To line up the Washi Tape easily, I lay it down on my Silicone Craft Sheet and then fold the edges over to the back so the edges won't come up if the weather is more humid.

Recipe:

Bermuda Bay - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Basic Black - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Whisper White 5" x 3 3/4"
Basic Black - 3 3/8" x 3 1/8"
Whisper White - 3 1/4" x 3"

Don't forget to decorate the envelope too.  You can simply fold the edges over the flap.  Be sure to seal the envelope so the recipient will need to use a letter opener and won't ever see your fold over!

Thank you for looking in today.  It's "Friday Eve" which means the weekend will be here soon!

Busy Tuesday... Today's Another Day

No fun projects for you to see today... I suppose I could have shared carpet cleaning pictures but ... ewwww....

Tuesday was spent running hubby to the doctor for a follow up on a knee x-ray - nothing seriously wrong, but probably some arthritis issues that make the knee snap, crackle and pop and then hurt!

After that adventure we had lunch and then home to clean my craft room carpet.  What a disaster, but it does look so much better!

I found glitter, teensy tiny punched pieces of paper and well, you get the idea!  Hopefully I'll have a new project to post for you tomorrow.

Ohhhh...and my day started with my Pre-Ordering select items from the soon-to-be released 2016-2017 Annual Catalog!  Just wait until you see it!

If you want me to send one to you, please let me know, as long as you don't already have a Demonstrator - I'd love to take care of all your Stampin' Up! needs!

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Star Wars Day!

Build a Birthday With Washi

This is a quick little card using Cherry on Top Washi Tape.  I'm doing a workshop in the mail to a group from Southern Arizona and since I can't make it down there this time, I'm making up the kits and sending them down.  With full instructions, of course!  They'll have the stamps and inks so once the kits arrive, they can put them together as a group.

I just love the bright colors in this stack.  So pretty and colorful!

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick Cardstock - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Bermuda Bay - 5 1/4" x 4"
Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper (retiring) 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Bermuda Bay - 4 3/8" x 3 3/8"
Whisper White - 4 1/4" x 3 1/4"

Mother's Day Tea Dispenser

This is what I made for my Mother-in-Law for Mother's Day next weekend.  I hope she likes it!  I've been wanting to make one of these for a while, then when we got the A Nice Cuppa and Cups & Kettle Framelits, I knew this was the time!

I used Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Papers because I know she loves these colors and the flowers.

While there are several versions for the patterns for this box, I used the one found on Splitcoast Stampers HERE and then used my own ideas for decorating.  I had to trim a couple of pieces of the DSP, so either I didn't follow the measurements correctly, or there is a small error.  Either way, just be sure to lay out your pieces before you adhere any of them.  The instructions also say to do that, so they are good instructions to follow!

On the bottom I added another piece of matching DSP with my stamp on the bottom.

Now we just have to fill it will a tea that she likes.  That will be hubby's assignment, figure out what tea goes inside!

Thank you for stopping by today.  Don't forget Mother's Day is just a few days away!  ~ Donna
