Don't Peek - If You Want Your Paper Pumpkin as a Surprise

Here it is... October's My Paper Pumpkin.  What is better during the fall holidays than PIE?  When all the pieces are put together, they make 8 "slices of pie".  I made one of them up so far but am pondering ideas to do with some of the others.

I love the stamps with this one.  "there's no such thing as too much pie" and "holiday calories don't count"  Perfect!

Thank you for looking in today.  If you'd like to receive a great craft kit every month, sign up at www.mypaperpumpkin.com and please, select me as your demonstrator, Donna Kish, Phoenix, AZ

Watercolor Winter

A while ago at our Excite and Unite event we went to in Tucson, each Demonstrator there received our very own Watercolor Winter Simply Created Card Kits.  This weekend I opened mine up and boy oh boy was it fun!

The kit comes with enough supplies to make 20 cards: 5 each of 4 designs. The kit includes 20 card bases; die cut accents and background pieces; 20 envelopes (10 Coastal Cabana / 10 Crumb Cake), linen thread (although it looks more like Very Vanilla bakers twine to me), sequins and a watercolor brush.

All you need is stamps, ink, adhesives and a couple of tools.

By mixing ink refills with a little bit of water, you can quickly color the trees, sleds and letters.  You'll want to do your coloring first so there's plenty of time to dry, but honestly, it dries very quickly.

The best way to assemble the tree to the glimmer paper is with our little glue dots.  The liquid adhesive worked well, but the glue dots were so much better!

You may notice the stamps I used  aren't the stamps shown in our Holiday Catalog (page 37), but I used what I had on hand.  Came out pretty good if I do say so myself.

I'll be sharing more cards from this kit this week.  For those of you that are local, I'm going to do a card class with this kit the first weekend in December.  Watch for more details soon and if you are interested, please let me know.  This will have to be a pre-paid class so I can pre-order the kits in time so they don't end up on backorder.

Thank you for looking in today.

Halloween Nugget Holder

CASEd this cute little nugget holder from my upline Lorri Heiling and I just ran with it to create some other little versions of the holder.  Thank you Lorri for the great idea!  I can't wait to change it up for other holidays.

I had some extra ghosts and moon's cut out from a previous workshop and thought this would be a great way to use them up.  I also have LOTS of googly eyes and love using them where ever I can.  Seems they are most usable at Halloween time!

Cut a strip of card stock 2" x  8 1/2" and score it at 3 1/2" and 5".  Punch each end with the Scalloped Tag Topper and you're ready to go!

Cover the nuggets with a strip of DSP 3" x 1" and wrap around the nuggets attaching with a glue dot.  I also used a glue dot to hold the candy in place inside the card stock.

Do you see the damage on tis one?  This is thanks to little Miss Kitten who loves to hang around when I'm crafting.  Apparently I made her mad earlier when I scooted her away from a straw that was off limits and the next thing I know, she's chewing on this!  Grrr.... lol  She can be such a little brat!

Oh well, it's not the first time one of the kitties in the house has pierced one of my projects!  LOL

Thank you for looking in today!  I hope you have fun making some of these cute holders.
