Beautiful Bows with the Gift Bow Die

I was playing with the Gift Bow Bigz L Die and decided to add some layers and make the bow a little bigger.

Cut two pieces of 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" DSP of your choice and then lay them both together on the Gift Bow Die.  No worries, it will through two at a time with no problem!

Assemble as shown below.  I used the "green glue" aka Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  It holds it together permanently and won't fall apart.

Add an embellishment to the middle.  I used the Frosted Finishes Embellishments from the Holiday Mini.  You might want to use a large glue-dot to hold this down.  I used the "green glue" again, but I did have to hold it together for a while so it would set up.

Thanks for looking in today.  The weekend is almost here!

Holiday Extravaganza Gift Box

A very quick post tonight (for tomorrow morning's blog) as I've been up since 3 a.m. and worked until 10 p.m. for our jurisdictional elections.  Thought I'd unwind and be sure to have this ready for morning.

Who wouldn't love to receive a gift presented in this fabulous box from Stampin' Up!  This box is available in the Holiday Catalog on page 37 - item # 132147.  Decorate it with your favorite DSP for Christmas or for a Birthday and you're all set!

This was another one of our awesome projects we made at our Holiday Extravaganza.  I just love it!

Well, before my head hits the keyboard, this gal is going to climb into bed.

Thank you for looking in today.

My Swap Card - October 2013

It just occurred to me that I hadn't posted my card I made for this month's team swap.  I've had it done for a couple of weeks but of course couldn't post it until after the meeting.  So, here it is!

Since this was our last swap until January, I decided to think ahead and came up with Valentine's.  I could have saved it for January I suppose, but it popped into my head and had to be done!

It looks difficult, but really was very easy to do.

Begin with a base of 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4" - I used Chocolate Chip for my base, but Early Espresso would look just as great.  The second layer is Crumb Cake cut to 5 1/4" x 4" and embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder.  Be sure to make a 2nd layer that you cut into quarters if making multiples to place under the heart. The heart was cut using Hearts a Flutter Framelits.  Sponge the woodgrain with Chocolate Chip or Early Espresso.

Cut a small Real Red heart also from Hearts a Flutter.  Thread the Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine through the heart and wrap around the Crumb Cake layer.

Stamp "V" is for Valentine from the Occasions Alphabet and punch with Artisan Label punch.

Attach the smaller piece of Crumb Cake behind the heart cutout and then attach with Stampin' Dimensionals to the Base.

Stamps Well With Others Recipe:

Card Stock:  Chocolate Chip (or) Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, (Very Vanilla for inside sentiment)
Ink:  Chocolate Chip (or) Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler
Stamps:  Occasions Alphabet (w-128688 / c-123598)
Tools:  Artisan Punch (130920), Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine (123125), Stamping Sponges (103954)
Big Shot Tools:  Hearts a Flutter Framelits (130159), Woodgrain Embossing Folder (127821)

I know we still have a lot of Christmas ahead of us, but hopefully you'll remember this card for when it is closer to Valentine's time.

You can find everything you need to make this card on my website HERE.  If I can help you with anything, please let me know.  You can email me at StampsWellWithOthers@gmail.com.

Thank you for looking in today - have a Blessed Sunday.

Adorable Mini Cup from Holiday Extravanza

Here's an adorable little cup we made at the Holiday Extravaganza put on by my upline, Lorri Heiling.  It's the cutest little thing, only about 2 1/2" tall or so and has a snap on lid, just like the real cups at our favorite coffee shops.

This one is decorated with Season of Style DSP (132340) from the Holiday Catalog and wrapped with Cherry Cobbler 1" Stitched Edge Grosgrain Ribbon (132135) and Silver 1/8" Ribbon (132137), also from the Holiday Catalog.

Imagine them filled with great little Christmas candies or nuts.

Thanks again to Lorri and to Pam for organizing and preparing for this Holiday Extravaganza!  I can hardly wait until next year!

Happy Friday Friends...
