Perfectly Preserved Flowers

I hope you all had a great Christmas!  We sure did at our house having my boys over for brunch and then my  stepdaughter and her boyfriend over for lunch.  They all have difficult work schedules, even during the holidays, so I was tickled to get any time I could, especially with my boys since they're more difficult to pin down!

So Wednesday I was searching for cards for upcoming Stamp-a-Stack classes and ran across this beautiful card by Mary Shields.  When I spotted it, I simply fell in love with it and had to make one, so here it is.

Isn't it beautiful?  I just love the freshness of the look and with spring coming up before we know it - I actually saw Valentine candy at the grocery store tonight!!! - I thought it would be a beautiful card to share.

Bloomin' Marvelous

Here are a couple more cards that I made for a card set I'm making as a gift.  This is also another sneak peek of a stamp set to come.  Instead of coming from the Spring Mini, this is from Sale-a-Bration which will begin on January 22nd.  During Sale-a-Bration, you can choose one free product for every $50.00 spent.

Tea Jar

I made this as a Christmas gift for one of my co-workers.  I found the jar at The Container Store and love how it holds two full boxes of tea.  

The paper used on the jar and the lid is a sneak peek at some of the DSP from the upcoming Spring Catalog.  The name of the paper is appropriate for the gift as well... It's called Tea for Two, isn't that just perfect?

The papers in this set are really very pretty and I'll be using more of them making some more cards soon.

Congratulations Graduate!

Well, today I bring you something a little out of the normal season of Christmas.  A friend needed a Graduation Card for a mid-year graduation this weekend, so I whipped this up after shopping and dinner with the hubby.

A Little Something

A little something I've been working on the last few nights while watching t.v. - perfect project for t.v. time and almost finished and ready to be given as gifts later this week.  I won't say any more or it could ruin the surprise.  (shhhhh... don't tell).  Plus... there's an added little sneak peek in this picture from the next mini catalog, do you see it?

Stamp a Stack Idea

Here is another card design for the box of cards I'm making as a gift.  Same design, a little opposite colors and a different greeting and a multipurpose card design.

I love the bright colors in these cards.  I can see making more with this pack of DSP and having them each turn out bright and beautiful.  These would even be great for a Stamp-a-Stack, don't you think?

Love and Sympathy

I'm working on a set of cards to give as a gift to someone for Christmas.  She doesn't see my blog unless Linda shows her, so Linda... don't show Karen!  This card was spotted on Splitcoaststampers posted by Roberta.  She used a different color and different ribbon.  I wanted to show off some of the new ribbon that will be available in the Spring Mini beginning on January 3rd.  Isn't it beautiful?  It will be available in three colors.  This one is Melon Mambo - one of my very favorites.

Recipe ~ 

Stamps:  Love & Sympathy (w-122795 / c-122797)

Card Stock:  Whisper White, Basic Black

Ink:  Black StazOn (for sentiments)

Stampin' Write Markers:  Melon Mambo, Old Olive

Measurements:  Whisper White base - cut longways at 4 1/4" x 11" - score at 5 1/2"

Whisper White for flower - 2" x 4 3/4"

Basic Black for mat - 2 1/8" x 4 7/8"

Ribbon - 8"

I love the way the stamp colors with the Stampin' Write Markers and leaves a beautiful impression behind.
