Shimmer Butterflies

This was supposed to post yesterday, but I just couldn't get a good enough picture for you to see all the pretty glimmer.  So I re-made the card with a little more color and I think it works pretty well.  The design and instructions came from Frenchie several days ago but it was so pretty, I just had to give it a go.

The shimmer is so easy to make.  Using one of our Spritzer Bottles (126185) fill it 3/4 full with 70% rubbing alcohol, 4 to 5 drops of re-inker (I used Marina Mist) and 4 drops of Shimmer Paint ( used Frost White - 116854).  Mix well and shake well again just before using.

Punch out butterflies using the Elegant Butterfly Punch (127526) and the Bitty Butterfly from the Spring Catalog ~ beginning today! ~ (129406).  Lay the butterflies where you would like to have no paint and gently spray the Whisper White card stock with the shimmer paint.  Hold bottle several inches away for a nice fine mist and be sure to do a test spray first to be sure the bottle is spraying properly.  Let dry.  The paper will curl, so be prepared for it by using some removable dotto or other removable adhesive so it doesn't curl so much and knock off your butterflies.

After it's dry, adhere it to a mat and attach to your card.  Before adding the sprayed butterflies on, sponge the edges with more Marina Mist and a sponge dauber to help the outlines stand out.

Beautiful!
