Petal Palette Thank You

Be sure to check out the new February Host Code and this month's free gift from me for spending $50.00 or more (before shipping and tax) using the Host Code.

Well, as you can tell, I decided crafting was better than anything I can think of to get over the sads.  So here are two cards I made using my new Petal Palette stamps.  Good timing for them arriving when I needed something new to play with.

Recipe:
Basic Black - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Pool Party / Daffodil Delight 5 1/4" x 4"
Petal Passion Designer Series Paper - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Whisper White - Stitched Shapes (largest oval)

Stamps - Petal Palette
Ink - Memento Black
Stampin' Blends - Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party
Wink of Stella

A note about Wink of Stella.  How many of you have one of them and you just can't get any more sparkle to come to the brush?  That was me and then I learned that you could put just a little bit of rubbing alcohol inside your pen, shake it up to loosen all those little sparkly bits and you're ready to keep going!

Only use a little, like maybe 1/4 teaspoon (or less).  You don't want it to be too wet.  You can always add more alcohol.

Notice I also used the Stampin' Blends to color some of the little flowers on the designer paper.

Inside I used layers just like the outside. I thought the Basic Black could use a little extra color besides the Whisper White.

Color:  5 1/4" x 4
White: 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"

I do love the look the Wink of Stella adds, don't you?

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Thursday.

  1. Great cards and I like how you multi-layered the insides. I like both cards and the colors are great as is the coloring. Thanks for the tip about the Wink of Stella. I finally broke down and bought some but have not used it yet.

    1. Oh you really must use the Wink of Stella! I love mine. They add just the right glimmer to almost anything.

Thanks for commenting on the inside. I was hoping it stood out. I may do that more often, if I can remember to do so. Especially on the dark colors I think.
