Let's Taco 'Bout You

Today I'm CASEing my upline Lorri Heiling.  When I saw this a couple of weeks ago I fell totally in love with it but never made the time to make it.  So, even though Sale-a-Bration is over, those of you who have the Tasty Truck FREE Stamp Set can make this card too.  I used a couple of different colors than Lorri and I added sliced olives, because I love sliced olives on my taco!

The reason I thought of this today (actually Monday night), is because tomorrow is the first Tuesday of the month and we'll be having Taco Tuesday at work.  So, I thought this would be the  perfect time to make it.

Recipe:
Crumb Cake - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Whisper White - Stitched Shapes Framelits largest circle
Crushed Curry - 2 1/2" circle - sponged with Crumb Cake
Sahara Sand Inkpad for stamping the Taco Truck and Tacos

Inside the taco, I used Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie (for lettuce and cheese).  The Tomato is Real Red, punched with a 1 1/4" punch and cut in half.  The olives are basic black punched with the large circles from the owl punch.  Pretend that the white Tombo glue you see inside (that hasn't dried as of taking the picture) is Sour Cream!

Thanks Lori for such an adorable card.  Too bad it can't be mailed, although I don't know who I would mail it to.  No one wants a smashed taco, that would make it a taco salad!  Ha!

Thank you for looking in today.  Happy Taco Tuesday!

For A Friend (and some important dates)

Before you see today's card... a little business news.

Now that Sale-a-Bration is over, the next big thing will be the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalog.

Here are some dates that you should be aware of.

On April 10, 2017 -  at 1 p.m. MT, Demonstrators will be able to see the 2017-2018 catalog online.  This will be for DEMONSTRATORS ONLY
April 10, 2017 - 1 p.m. MT, we will all be able to see the RETIRING LISTS.  Watch my blog (here) for that list as soon as I can get my hands on it.
Also April 10 - May 31, 2017 -  Retiring products are available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST, so don't delay!
I recommend you get a headstart on that now if there are any retiring In-Color inks, papers, refills, etc. that you want.  These items go away very quickly.  Use HOSTESS CODE B34YFCXE between now and April 21st.
May 31, 2017 - the last day to order from the 2016-2017 Annual catalog and the 2017 Occasions catalog - for items still in stock.
June 1, 2017 -  the first day for customers to order from the NEW 2017-2018 catalog.
Will YOU be receiving a new catalog?
About mid-May 2017, I will be mailing or delivering a new Stampin' UP! catalog to anyone on my customer list who has made a $50 or more purchase between May 2016 and May 2017.   PLEASE, if you are one of my regular customers, log in to your online account and verify that your mailing address is correct so that you will receive your new catalog as quickly as possible.
Did you notice the Demonstrator Perks!
AS a Demonstrator, I have early access to the newest catalogs as well as the Holiday Mini and the Occasions Mini.  Every year it is just as exciting as the very first new catalog release.  My first one was June 2010.  I still get that thrill when it is time for the newest catalog!
Would you like to share in that fun and excitement?  If so, all you need to do is sign up as a Demonstrator and be on my Stamps Well With Others Team.  You don't have to do workshops or sell products to your friends, you can simply enjoy all the perks and benefits of being a Hobbyist.  That's what so many people do, or at least it is where they start!
Please read more details HERE, and click the link below the information to join us!
and now... on to today's card.

A friend and fellow stamper is going through some health issues right now so I wanted to make her a pretty card to let her know I'm thinking of her.

Even though this paper went away with Sale-a-Bration, you'll still see me using it.  Besides, you may have some you haven't used yet and will want inspiration!  Right?

The DSP is 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" and the Calypso Coral (or possibly Watermelon Wonder - both were out from previous projects) is 5 1/2" x 2 3/4"

The sentiment is placed on the 1 5/8" square Stitched Shapes Square.  I then cut a piece of colored card stock at 1 7/8" square.

The stamp set is from Sending Thoughts - don't forget the inside.  I love it when there is a saying that will work inside and out.

Isn't this pretty?  I just love coloring with our new watercolor pencils.  My fingers are crossed that there will be more coming up in the next catalog for 2017-2018.  We need MORE!

Thank you for looking in today.  Here we go with another Monday!

Thanks a Bunch

Finally I can share my little 3" x 3" thank yous for this month's workshop girls.  They were so much fun to make and I really like how they turned out.  It did take a little fussy cutting to make a couple of masks for the bunnies, but well worth it.

I stamped the Tempting Turquoise bunny first, then masked it with a bunny that I stamped onto a post-it note and fussy cut.  Then I stamped the next two bunnies next to the blue one, then masked them and stamped the 3rd bunny out.

The bunnies are Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo.  The grass is Pear Pizzazz.

Stamp the sentiment and the grass, all from the same set.

Stamps:  Basket Bunch

The 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" square is popped up onto Daffodil Delight which is 6" x 3", scored and folded at 3".

Thank you for looking in today!  Have a Blessed Sunday!

Use Those Scraps!

I like to use up my scraps as often as possible, so here's a fun way to use some of those larger pieces.  See what you think.

For this card I used Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper.  You can use pretty much anything you want, even mixing DSP's as long as the colors come together.

Recipe:

Whisper White / Watermelon Wonder - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Large Ice Cream strip - 5 1/4" x 1 1/2"
Small piece - 2 1/4" x 2"
Large piece - 2 1/4" x 3"

Watermelon Wonder Square - 2 1/8" square cut from Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies
Stamps - Balloon Adventures
Ink - Watermelon Wonder
Party Animal Embellishments

After making the first one with Whisper White for the base, I decided it wasn't enough color, so I made a second one with Watermelon Wonder as the base.  I'm really going to hate to see that color go away!  :(

I popped up the Watermelon Wonder square with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thank you for looking in today.  Have a happy weekend!
