Sneak Peek - Balloon Builders

When I first went through the upcoming 2016 Occasions Catalog (one of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - a month of pre-order and playing with new toys!) this stamp set, Balloon Builders is the first one I saw that made me fall in love with it!

I used the basic balloon shapes for this card, but wait until you see the cute other things that can be made with this set.  I think you will love it too!

If you can't wait to see all the new things in the Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalog, you should JOIN MY TEAM and get your hands on some pre-order items too!

If you can wait, and would like to have an Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs as soon as they are available to the public, send me an email and I'll be happy to add you to my mailing list.  If you already have a Demonstrator, please contact them.  If you are looking for a Demonstrator, I'd be happy to be yours!

Cutie Pie Thinlit Tree

Monday night was out Team Meeting and Christmas Party.  This adorable little tree was our Make & Take.

The Cutie Pie Thinlits (138273) was used to cut the pie wedge (cut two) and then adhered together with liquid Tombo (green glue).  We attached a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Home for Christmas paper.

Lorri sent off for some cute little wood spools.  Most of the girls took the thread off, but I loved the color I got, so I left it on.  I can always take if off later.

I sponged the edges of the DSP with Crumb Cake to give it an "antique" look.  We added a bow made from Pink Pirouette 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon.  Wrapped it up with Gold Metallic Baker's Twine to add the "Noel" tag.

The tag was also cut from the Cutie Pie Thinlits set.

Add some sequins for bling and it's done!

Rawr! (Poor Rex)

Blast these short arms....

I know just how this big guy feels... I can never reach the top of the tree or the top shelf in the kitchen, especially when hubby puts things up there that I use all the time - grrrrr... I mean... RAWR!

Quick post tonight (for Monday morning).  It's been a very busy weekend full of stamping and friends and putting up some Christmas lights.

Birthday Blossoms

I made this card for my boss' birthday, which is actually today (Saturday) but we celebrated at the office on Friday.  The card was inspired by Diana Gibbs, which is especially funny as yesterday, we both CASEd and posted the same card from Lori Mueller.  I spotted it on Pinterest and I'm not sure where Diana snagged it from.  To see my card from yesterday, click HERE.

Today's card has a base of Blushing Bride, Then a page from the Neutrals Color Collection.

The images are stamped onto Shimmery White.  I really like using my aqua brush on Shimmery White, almost as much as onto Watercolor Paper.

The stamp set used today is Birthday Blossoms.  Such a delicate set.  Another of my favorites.

Well, this girl is heading to bed (writing this on Friday night).  Tomorrow (Saturday) is a big day with workshop that will include my BFF from Southern Arizona.  I can hardly wait!!!  I hope I can sleep!

Snow Place Window Spotlight

This is an adorable card I have planned for this weekend's workshop.  There will be some new stampers there and I think this will be a nice easy card with lots of POP!  I'm CASEing this card from Angie Leach.  I've changed up the sentiment and added some extra glitter, but thanks go to Angie for this great design!

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick Cardstock for the base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Marina Mist 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" and rounded on the top with the Project Life Corner Rounder Punch.
Whisper White 5" x 3 3/4" and embossed with the Brick Wall Texture Embossing Folder

Punch a 2 1/2" Circle from the top down and centered on the Brick Wall.
Stamp the Penguin with Memento Black ink and the Scarf and Earmuffs with Cherry Cobbler.
Cut them out with the Snow Friends Framelits.
Color his beak with Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango or Tangelo Twist.  I colored his feet too and then remembered they would be hidden!

It's hard to see, but I used the two way glue pen around the edge of the hole and sprinkled it with Dazzling Details glitter.

Pop the Brick Wall up with Stampin' Dimensionals, remembering not to put them where you want to put your Penguin.  I also put one Dimensional behind his head and then slid him into place with his Scarf hanging out.  I put 1/4 of a dimensional behind the earmuffs.

The banner along the bottom started out 3 7/8" x 1", stamped in the center with "there's snow place like home" and then used the Triple Banner Punch to make the bannered ends.  Remember if  you stamp before cutting the banner, that you will be cutting off 3/8" from the point on each side, so plan ahead.

I am SO excited about this weekend's workshop.  There's going to be a BIG surprise for me there, that is no longer a surprise (she just couldn't wait to tell me).  My very best friend Danita is coming up from Southern Arizona for the workshop.  This is a HUGE deal because her health really keeps her home most of the time.  I can hardly wait to see her.  It's going to be the best workshop EVER!

Thank you for looking in today.
