Merry and Bright Catalog Casing
Still working long hours, but finally took some time today to do some crafting. Sadly, my brain needed a jump start so I picked a stamp set and picked up my Holiday Catalog and here's what I came up with. A little bit of CASEing the catalog and a little bit of my own ideas.
To get the tree branches I used Christmas Staircase Thinlits and Garden Green card stock. I'm not sure what was used in the catalog, but I like these thinlits. I lightly sponged matching inks under the bulbs to give a bit of a glow.
Recipe:
Real Red - 8 1/2" X 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4
Garden Green - 5 1/2" x 2 1/4"
Whisper White - 5" x 3 1/4"
Galvanized Metallic Paper - for top of bulb punch
Whisper White Scraps - for stamping and punching bulbs
Real Red 3/8" Mixed Satin Ribbon
Inside I stamped the string of lights with Garden Green and colored them in with Stampin' Write Markers (Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green and Pool Party). The sentiment is stamped in Garden Green.
A little confession, I forgot to stamp the string of lights BEFORE adhering the Whisper White inside, so I took two small post-it notes and placed them up against the Whisper White so I could stamp without getting any onto to the Real Red.
Worked like a charm!

Fussy Cutting Memories and More
I know, I know, you don't like to fussy cut, but this was really quick and easy - honest!
Leave a little border when you cut to make it all just a little easier and I think it gives it a little better look as well.
Pop up Santa and his HO HO HO and you've got a great card to add to your collection from the Memories and More Cards.

Perfect for Gift Cards
The small cards that can be made with the Santa's Workshop Memories and More cards and envelopes are the perfect size to hold a gift card to your favorite Elves this Christmas!
This card couldn't be any more simple than to pop some Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the Memories and More card and attach it to the card front.
Added some snowflakes from the Memories and More "accessory" card that has several things that can be added to the cards to make them sparkle and shine. The Happy Christmas is preprinted and ready to adhere to the toy bag.
There are even cute little circle stickers for sealing envelopes to give the back of the envelope a little bit of fun.

Santa's Workshop Continues
I had so much fun on Sunday! Last week my box of goodies came from Stampin' Up! so I could plan for my December 1st ~Lots of Cards - No Stamping~ card event. It was great making so many cards and just enjoying crafting again.
Yes, I know what you are thinking, "but you've already been making some of those" and you would be right.
However, the Santa's Workshop Memories and More Cards and Envelopes are bigger than our basic notes and cards we make. They are 6 1/4" x 4 1/4" for the large cards and 4 1/4" x 3 1/4" for the small ones.
I have to say, it was much faster and easier using the pre-made cards from the envelopes / card pack, because I didn't have to trim them to fit onto the card size we usually make.
Here are two of them below.
Below I used two of the smaller cards from the Memories and More card pack on the large base. I also used some Garden Green card stock to help the HO HO HO pop off the card a bit.
Everything used on these cards come inside the Santa's Workshop Memories and More card pack, except for the twine of course. Also, if you want to add some mats around the cards, then you would need cardstock that matches.

Santa's Chair
Santa is taking a break after making all those toys! Those little elves look mischievous though don't they? Maybe waiting for Santa to drift off and then they can snag the cookies and milk!
