Ornate Thanks

I'm a little late to the game here, but finally getting a chance to use my Ornate Garden Suite.  Who knew working from home would be so hard.  I think I'm extra conscious of making sure I'm working hard all day, probably harder than when I'm at the office, where at least I get up and visit with co-workers.

When the day is over, I may not have to drive through traffic to get home, but all I want to do is curl up in my chair and take a nap!  A big part of it is my sleep hours have changed being home and able to sleep in a couple of hours since I don't have the shower, make up, get dressed and breakfast before the drive.  Now I only have to worry about shower, get dressed and work on breakfast whenever I'm ready.

Well, enough of that... on to my card!

Recipe:
Soft Suede - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded t 4 1/4"
Early Espresso - 4" x 5 1/4"
Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper - 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Whisper White - Ornate Layers Dies - SO pretty!
Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4" (inside)

Stamps: Ornate Thanks (from the Suite / Bundle)
Ink: Early Espresso

I added a little strip of DSP inside (3/4" x 4") and decorated the envelope flap as well.

Here's a closer look at these stamps.  SO many things to use and I love the delicate written font.

Mask It Up!

I spotted a card yesterday with slots on it for tucking in messages and gift cards and my brain immediately went to face masks!  So, here's what I created.

For a Friend:

(inside sentiment typed up on word document and printed on Whisper White)

Recipe:
Balmy Blue (above) / Pacific Point (below) - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Subtles / Brights Designer Series Paper - 4" x 5 1/4"
Whisper White - 3 1/2" x 4 1/4", scored at 1", 1 1/4", 2", 2 1/4", 3", 3 3/4"
Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4" (inside panel)
Whisper White scraps for sentiment.

For a Healthcare Worker (as a fun thank you).

Stamps:
A Little Lace - "A little note to say" (punched with Classic Label)
Daisy Delight - Thank You
Ink:  Memento Black
Metallic Bakers Twine - 4"
Rhinestone Basic Jewels

After scoring, fold in a zig zag.  Attach to DSP with Tear & Tape to hold the folds in place.

On this card I punched leaving the "Just" out.  You'll still see a bit of ink, so you may want to trim it off, or possibly sponge the edges (which I may do on the next one).

Thank you for looking in today!  We're expecting a little rain around here, but I haven't seen any yet.  It smells like rain outside, but none on the ground yet.

Happy Saturday!

Hello Friend

I really thought I had posted this, but the other day I went looking for it to show someone online and couldn't find it.  So, if this is a duplicate, I apologize.

Recipe:
Purple Posy - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Best Dressed Designer Series Paper - 4" X 5 1/4"
Whisper White - Stitched Shapes Circle die cut

Stamps: Simply The Best
Ink: Mint Macaron (or could use Petal Pink)

Below is a snippet of instructions on how to mark the DSP and where to cut.  You may have to click on the picture to make it bigger to see better.  Big thanks to Lorri for sharing this at one of our Team Meetings.

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Thursday!

Thanks for the Laughs

In these times of turmoil, I believe in finding a little fun.  Seems there are any number of funny things that are going on even now, like why does everyone think they need to buy all the toilet paper in the world.  Being prepared is one thing, but seriously, just how much do you need?  So, for our first ever Zoom Team Meeting on Monday, we all prepared the basics and Lorri provided us with a fun graphic (not SU, but also, not a stamp, so technically.... it's okay!)

We each picked our own colors and designer series papers and used the measurements given and then we were ready to print and go!

Recipe (my color choices):

  • Purple Posy - 4 1/4" x 11", scored and folded at 5 1/2" - emboss front with Subtle Dynamic embossing folder.
  • Best Dressed Designer Series Paper - 1 1/2" x 5 1/2"
  • Whisper White - 1/2" x 5 1/2" (cut two) adhere to the back of the DSP
  • Purple Posy - 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" Scallop from Layering Ovals
  • Whisper White 4" x 5 1/4" for inside panel
Stamps: Thanks for the Laughs
Ink:  Memento Black
Blends: Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight, Mint Macaron, Lovely Lipstick, Smoky Slate, Crumb Cake

I stamped the sentiment on Purple Posy and then snipped it out with my paper snips and popped it up with Mini Dimensionals.  Isn't this FUN?  You could use any DSP you want and color accordingly.  Let me know if you'd like the graphics and I'll share.

Thank you for looking in today.  I hope you're healthy and safe and remember, while these are scary times, it is important to keep the faith and remember that it is all in God's hands.  It is also remember to keep smiling, keep positive and keep sharing with those you love!
