I can finally share this card with you! This was my swap card for our Team Meeting yesterday and since we vote on our favorites, I couldn't share it until after. Cute as it is, it didn't win this time, but wait until you see the one that did. I'll share it tomorrow. Oh My Goodness, so cute! It seems there isn't anything that can't be done with the Fox Punch!
I cased this card and apparently I'm not the only one. Another gal that had a display board also made this cute card but turned up the other way and she did the greeting a little different.
After I made this, and was showing it to my hubby, he suggested I put a piece of paper behind the front so you could write inside. That is a good idea, but then you couldn't see the back half of the cute little mouse!
There was one quite a while ago where I did another "cheesy" card. You can see it HERE.
Recipe:
So Saffron: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored and folded at 4 1/4".
Smoky Slate and Pink Pirouette (for Mouse)
Whisper White for Banner
Mouse: Fox Builder Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Owl Builder (feet)
Cheese: Layering Circles (center hole), 1" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch
Banner: Large Numbers Framelits
To make the Mouse tail, I punched the Fox tail and then trimmed it with scissors to make the tail.
We had SIXTEEN Swappers this month, so I had lots of little mousies running around in prepping these cards.
Thank you for looking in today ~ have a Blessed Sunday!

Too cute! Instead of covering the back of the mouse, cut another circle of the yellow card stock (maybe next size up?) and mount it to the inside with a little hinge. Then you can put a message/signature under it.
ReplyDeleteThank you! That would be cute!
DeleteAs I read what you wrote, originally, I thought you were saying something else, which also made me think, I could cut a piece of So Saffron 1/4" smaller than the outside then cut a hole the size of the "mouse hole" to pop up inside with dimensionals and the mouse could be seen through the hole and still be able to write inside.
WHATEVER WORKS! THE BACK OF THE MOUSE IS SO CUTE TOO! YOU COULD ALSO SPONGE AROUND THE CUT OUT CIRCLES LIKE YOU DID ON YOUR OLDER CUTE CARD. 16 SWAPPERS IS INDEED A WHOLE LOT OF MICE BUT I BET THEY WERE CUTE SITTING AROUND BEING ASSEMBLED. Very cute indeed!
DeleteOUR NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS WERE MOVING THE LAST OUT TODAY AND WE HAVE SAID GOODBYE SO MUCH I AM ALMOST ALL OUT TEARS AND POOR TED IS SO STRUNG OUT TOO. HE CRIED, BAYED, HOLLARED THE WHOLE GAMATE OF NOISES. THEY SAID THEY WERE LEAVING 1/2 HOUR AGO BUT THEY ARE STILL DOING SOMETHING AND TED CAN HEAR THEM OR SEE THEIR CARS. FRIEDA WAS ALREADY AT HER GRANDPA AND GRANDMA'S TO STAY OUT OF THE WAY TODAY SO TED DIDN'T GET TO SEE HER TODAY AND HE WAS LOOKING ALL OVER FOR HER.

Poor Ted, that just breaks my heart! It is hard enough for humans to say goodbye but animals just don't understand. I know when my youngest son comes over our dog Nike always runs around his car to see if his friends came too. My son has a Bassett and a Basset Terrier Mix.
DeleteI hope you get great new neighbors. Sometimes you just hold your breath and pray!
The house is priced outlandishly like twice the price. The owner lives out of state and hasn't even been back in 2-3 years. He had rented it to a bunch of college students before Mandy who had trashed the place as he could not sell it then. Mandy was just renting. Her dad updated some of the wiring so she could put in a room a/c and updated the kitchen. The owner basically paid for the materials and not much, if any, of her dad's labor. So, he decided it is worth more now I guess. No central air, basement walls are bowing and the ceiling is coming down in a couple of the rooms etc. So, I doubt if he has any takers and the lot size is not real big either.

Sounds like it needs a LOT of work. I'd be afraid to live in it from what you've described. Wow!
