Birthday Fiesta!

So then, I have a confession.  When this set, Birthday Fiesta, came out earlier this summer, I wasn't all that crazy about it.  I loved the Sahuaro Cactus - being from Arizona and all, and the Llama is adorable, but the rest just didn't do it for me.

As time passed and I saw all the cute ideas and I gave in.  Isn't that always the way it goes?

There are two versions to this card, not big differences, but a little measurement change.

Here is the recipe:

Crushed Curry - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Tempting Turquoise - 5 1/4" x 4"
Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Tempting Turquoise (below) 4 7/8" x 3 5/8"; (above) 4 5/8" x 3 3/8"
Whisper White (below) 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"; (above) 4 1/2" x 3 1/4"

I think I like the one above better with a bit more of the DSP showing.  What do you think?

Yes, you have to fussy cut the sombreros, guitar and the maracas, but it is so worth it!  Pop them up with some Stampin' Dimensionals, add some googly eyes (not Stampin' Up!) and get ready to FIESTA!

Looking forward to playing with some other ideas going around in my head with this one.

It is the last week before Christmas, so if I'm missing this week, it will be for getting ready for the upcoming celebrations with family and friends.  We'll be having our office Christmas Potluck on Tuesday.  It is always a fun day with so much good food!  I'm making pork n' beans to go with a ham that the boss is bringing in.  Better save up those carbs for Tuesday!

Thank you for looking in!

    1. The next ones I do, will have an additional stamp inside received from my friend in Iowa! It was at my office in my Stampin' Drawer and didn't remember to come home with me in time! :)

Merry Christmas to you and yours!
