December Paper Pumpkin

This will be the last Paper Pumpkin kit I'll be doing for a while.  We're working on doing some downsizing around the house and so I've put my Paper Pumpkin on hold for a while.  That doesn't mean you can't still join up and enjoy the fun.  I can enjoy them by seeing your projects!

These were really easy to put together and still have a nice look to them.  I changed up the ribbon a bit as it just seemed to be prettier scrunched up instead of laying somewhat flat.  The ribbon is very soft and fine, so it kind of has a mind of it's own, so I tamed it!  The kit comes with double coated tissue tape (basically the same as Tear and Tape).  I took a strip and layed it across the card and then put the ribbon down on one end then scrunched the ribbon up as I went along.

Don't cut the ribbon until you reach the end of your sticky tape and it comes out great.  This can be done with any ribbon.  I actually have done this before and had forgotten about it.  I may have to start doing it again.  I like the way it works.

If you would like to receive a monthly craft kit, try Paper Pumpkin.  You can cancel any time, or even suspend a month when you need to.  Sign up HERE and give it a try.   You can even sign up for a subscription for a friend, what a great gift!

Crafty Pens Birthday

Did you think that Crafting Forever would only be for the Crafter to use or for a card for a Crafting person?  I did, at first.

Then I looked again and thought of the great pens that are in this set and decided they would be perfect for a guy at our office and his birthday is this Friday.  So, here it is!

Recipe:
Soft Suede - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Chocolate Chip - 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
Very Vanilla - 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"
Very Vanilla (inside) 5 1/4" x 4"

Stamps:  Crafting Forever and Butterfly Basics (for the greeting)

Ink:  Soft Suede

I stamped off once for the pens and then full strength for the Happy Birthday.

Thank you for looking in today!  Only two workdays left in this year!  Wooo Hoo!

Dino Speak

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with Family and Friends!  I was able to spend Christmas Eve with my two Son's and my future Daughter-in-law.  It was a great evening and just so much fun to spend time with them all.  The boys work night shift most often, so it is difficult to get time with them, so I cherish all I can when we are together.

SO...

My future Daughter-in-law is apparently fond of dinosaurs, so when I saw these cute towels on her stove on Christmas Eve, I knew exactly the kind of Thank You card I was going to make for her and my Son for all the great gifts they gave me for Christmas.

Here's the cute Dino Towel:

And here is the card!

Recipe:
Lemon Lime Twist - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Whisper White - 5 1/4" x 4" (plus a second one for inside)

Stamps:  No Bones About It and All Things Thanks
Ink:  Lemon Lime Twist, Garden Green, Soft Suede

This was a fun card to make.  I hope she really likes it.  I doubt she'll want them for her wedding thank you's though.  HA HA!

Thank you for looking in today.
