It's My Party - Birthday Cards (& Weekly Deals!)

Don't forget to check the Weekly Deals!

I made the card on the right (as you look at the screen) for my oldest son's birthday which is this Wednesday.  He'll be 34!  Yikes!

It came out so nice I decided to make more in Sahara Sand and then also in Mint Macaron.  I blinged up the Mint with It's My Party Enamel Dots for a more feminine touch and left the Sahara Sand plain for the masculine look.

Inside I added some Mint Macaron balloons to dress up the inside.  There is no sentiment inside so I can choose the right one depending on the recipient.

Recipe:
Base - Whisper White - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Designer Series Paper - It's My Party - 5 1/4" x 4"
Whisper White Mat - 4" x 2 3/4"
Sahara Sand / Mint Macaron - 3 3/4" x 2 1/2"

Stamp the dots from Gorgeous Grunge in the same color ink that matches the card stock.
Also using Gorgeous Grunge - stamp the diagonal strip across the bottom in Memento Ink.
Stamp Happy Birthday from You're So Lovely in Memento Ink.

I popped up the mat and sentiment with Stampin' Dimensionals.

As you can see, I made several cards to add to my stash for #imbringingbirthdaysback.  Don't forget to email me your name, address and birthday if you'd like to receive a hand made card for your special day!  Email me at StampsWellWithOthers@gmail.com

Thank you for looking in today.  It's back to work after a nice three day weekend.

Happy Tuesday!

  1. Fun cards. I don't remember that fun starry shape on the Happy Birthday part. I will have to go check that out. All the grunge stuff actually sort of looks like confetti in a dumb sort of way! I like it. Love the mats, just frames it all up. I love the enamel dots and you could always put black, white or crushed curry dots on the other masculine one or even a crushed curry balloon maybe if you wanted to dress it up a bit. But, it is fine the way it is. I always wonder about mailing with the dots. Great card to make multiples of to have on hand. Thanks for another great idea.

    1. You are right, it does look a bit like confetti! I love that the stamp has those little stars on the sides. I should have added (and still can) some rhinestones to them to liven them up a bit!

The crushed curry balloon sounds like a good idea. I may do that on some of the others. Billy's was mailed this morning and hopefully will arrive tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Sometimes the post office cooperates!

    4. Oh the rhinestones would be super fun! I don;t always like a little bling but sometimes a card just cries for a little sparkle! This gives me an idea to make a pack of 4 or 6 of them fro a friend who agonizes over birthday cards and then has trouble deciding on buying them so then the birthday passes by and no card was sent. This will solve her problem hopefully!
