I'm really happy how this turned out. We all know how difficult masculine cards can be, but this was so easy and I think he will like it.
I decided to make two others while I was at it left the "age" space open for the next one I need.
Recipe:
Base - Night of Navy - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
English Garden DSP 5 1/4" x 3"
Corrugated Paper (138317) yes, this is Stampin' Up! page 148 in the Annual Catalog
3 1/2" x 2"
Expressions Natural Elements (138395)
Stamps: Number of Years (140653) bundled with Large Numbers Framelits Dies (140811)
I hand trimmed the "Look Who's Turning" sentiment, but you could easily do it with the Circles Framelits. See my previous post HERE for full details.
Thank you for looking in today! Have a great Wednesday ~ Donna
Great card for your son! Love the curved banner and I just love corrugated paper! Such as smart idea to make a couple more for reserve. Oh, how I wish I remember to do that. Of course I love that little tilt to one panel! I bet he will love this card!

I try to always make at least two of whatever I'm making because you start with cutting a piece of cardstock in half, so may as well use the other half for a card. Unless I'm using the other half for matting pieces of course.
ReplyDeleteI know I'll be using that corrugated paper more. I like the extra texture it gives.
