Witty-cisms for Everything

I'm working my way through pieces and parts of my Designer Series Papers.  This one is an old one, but it was perfect because I could use it with multiple color backgrounds.

These are great to make up ahead of time, except for the stamping (and adding to the square of 3" x 3").   Then when you need a card with this stamp set or any other, the square is big enough to manage just about anything.  Stamp it up, add it to the 3" x 3" and your done!

Recipe:
Whisper White Thick cardstock - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4
Whisper White - 4" x 5 1/4" - embossed with Tufted folder
Cardstock (your choice) 1 3/4" x 5"
Designer Series Paper (your choice) 1 1/2" x 4 3/4"
Cardstock (same choice as above) 3" x 3"
Whisper White - 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"

Stamps:  Witty-cisms
Ink: Memento Black
Stampin' Blends:  Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate, Old Olive, Petal Pink,

Thank you for looking in today!  (this should have posted at midnight, but I missed the scheduling, so posting it now!)

Happy Friday!!

Mother's Day 2020

I nearly missed it!  My brain thought Mother's Day was a week from this Sunday, nope, it's THIS Sunday!  Thank goodness I had some kits ready to turn into whatever I want!

Recipe :
Whisper White - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Lovely Lipstick - 4" x 5 1/4"
Best Dressed Designer Series Paper - 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Best Dressed Designer Series Paper - die cut with Stitched Nested Labels
Whisper White - Punched with Story Label Punch
Lovely Lipstick - Punched with Story Label Punch

Stamps:  Dressed to Impress
Ink:  Memento Black

I needed something inside, so cut out a couple of the "flats" shoes and added the stamp.  Mark's Mom isn't a dress up kind of gal, just nice and comfy, so I thought these would be perfect for her.

Thank you for looking in today.  Happy Thursday!

Team Make & Take on Zoom

On Monday night we had our 2nd Team Zoom Meeting since we're all still on "Stay at Home" orders from the Governor.  Arizona has been extended to May 15th.  We'll see what happens after that.  For me, I'm enjoying it because I'm fortunate enough to work from home, but I worry about those who aren't so lucky.

Our fearless leader gave us the measurements for our card ahead of time so all we had to do was follow along and put it together.  As soon as we started scoring the small piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP), I knew what we were making since I'd made something similar last week.  Lorri's version is cuter with the added card strips on the outside though.  Makes it look more like a real mask.  I'll be adding that to mine.  You can see my first one with instructions HERE.  To add the strips, simply cut a 1/8" wide strip to go across the top and bottom - attach with liquid glue as the Tear and Tape will be too wide and for the sides, use Tear and Tape and a 1/4" wide strip.

Recipe:
Crumb Cake - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Designer Series Paper (striped from Magnoila Lane DSP) - 3 1/4" x 4 1/4"
Crumb Cake - die cut with Stitched So Sweetly rectangle - 3" x 4" size
Petal Pink strips - 1/4" x 4" (you'll trim to fit)
Petal Pink strips - 1/8" x 6" (trim to fit)
Ribbon for ear loops.  I used Crinkled Seam Binding - Whisper White.

Lorri re-sized the "i miss your face" and printed on Crumb Cake and die cut with Stitched Rectangles.  I just used the one I printed on Whisper White from the download.  If I make more - and I probably will, I have to wait until my printer ink order arrives!

Thank you for looking in today!  Happy Hump Day!

I've ordered my box of catalogs for next year!  Can't wait to get one in my hands!  If you need one and don't have a Demonstrator, please let me know!

Stitched So Sweetly Mask

I can't seem to stop using these great sentiments from the Share Sunshine PDF.  This time I'm using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.   I had to downsize the text on this one a bit in order to fit into the die.

Recipe:
Petal Pink - 4 1/4" x 11", scored and folded at 5 1/2"
Purple Posy - 4" x 5 1/4
Dressed to Impress DSP - 3 3/4" x 5"

** Here's a tip:  if you like to decorate your envelope flap, then always cut your 6" x 6" DSP at 3 3/4" first, then cut the 5 1/4".  That way you'll have a wide enough piece (2 1/4" x 6") to decorate the flap.

I attached the ribbon with mini glue dots, but to be sure they didn't have any way to get away, I also put my Stampin' Dimensionals over the ribbon as well.

Inside I placed a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White and then found another sentiment from the download that I wanted to use so I punched it with the Story Label Punch and then placed it onto a scrap of Purple Posy.

Here's a close up of the inside sentiment.

Thank you for looking in today!  I'll try to do something different tomorrow, I promise!

Here we go Monday!

Paper Mask Tutorial

Have you purchased and downloaded the Share Sunshine PDF yet?  If not, this may convince you that you need it.  Look at this FUN card I made using one of the sentiments.  This was really rather easy to do once I found the measurements I liked.

I loved this sentiment because the other day when we were out and I was wearing the mask I smiled at someone and realized they had no idea!  LOL

Recipe:
Purple Posy - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Best Dressed DSP - 4" x 5 1/4"
Whisper White - 3" x 3 3/4"

Whisper White (with sentiment) - 1 1/2" x 3 5/8"
Purple Posy - 1 3/4" x 3 7/8"

To make the mask:
Designer Series Paper - 2 1/8" x 2 3/4"
Score at 1/2", 5/8", 1", 1 1/8", 1 1/2", 1 5/8"
(see the "shoes" below for the score lines marked in pencil)
Whisper White - 1/4" x 1 1/8" (apx... see below) cut 3
Ribbon - 2 1/2"

Isn't that fun?  Very easy to do and think of all the possibilities with all the pretty papers we have!

Thank you for looking in today.  Have a Blessed Sunday!

Night Pajamas vs. Day Pajamas

This one is so much easier to read in person, but I just love it and didn't want to not share it with you.  It says "I changed out of my NIGHT PAJAMAS into my day pajamas to send you this card".  You know, the pajamas thing is going to be the hardest thing to give up when I head back to the office.  I love being in comfy clothes all day!

This layout I saw on Darla Roberts' facebook page today.  The difference here is there's no stamping.  I used the Share Sunshine Digital Download again.   I started with matching the colors from the sentiment and picked Dinoroar Designer Series Paper (DSP).

Recipe:
Mango Melody - 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (single - not a fold - although now that it's finished, I wish I'd made it a full card so it would stand up)
Dinoroar DSP - 4" x 5 1/4"
Mango Melody - 4 1/2" x 6", scored and folded at 3"
Whisper White - 2 3/4" x 4 1/4" (cut two)
Dinoroar DSP - 2" x 3 3/4"
Sentiment - 1 5/8" x 2 1/8" (you could cut bigger or a little smaller)
Pretty Peacock - 1 3/4" x 2 1/4"

Isn't this FUN?  Have you purchased the download and made any fun cards yet?  I'd love to see them if you do!

Thank you for looking in today!!  Happy Friday!
