Sudsy Birthday

** Suzi update at the bottom of this post... **

I think this was one of the first stamp sets I used last year when the current (almost retired) catalog.  As a matter of fact, HERE it is from June 11, 2016.

So today, here's another one using this set as well as Stylized Birthday.  Both sets are carrying over so there will be more chances to use them even more.

Recipe:
Chocolate Chip - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
So Saffron - 5 1/4" x 4" - Embossed with Softly Falling
Chocolate Chip - 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"
So Saffron - 4 1/2" x 3 1/4"
Very Vanilla - 4 3/8" x 3 1/8"

I added Clear Wink of Stella to one and Gold Wink of Stella to the other.  I like the Clear best.  Probably why the Gold retired and isn't carrying over to the next year.  That's fine with me.

The beer mugs are stamped with Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla and then just the top of the mugs with the foam I stamped with Crushed Curry.  Then fussy cut them all out and popped them up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thank you for looking in today.

So, the vet called this morning and said that Suzi's numbers are still high, but that they haven't really changed at all, maybe went 1 higher on each.  He called just as I was walking out to lunch and I had people waiting on the street for me, so I did the best I could.

Since her numbers didn't improve we know she still has the renal failure issue in her future, but for now, he's given us some pain meds for us to give her every 12 hours.  The plan is to hope she can get some relief from the sore mouth and at least feel like eating better.  She did seem to eat better and a bit more tonight, so I'm hopeful.

I've decided, that I've worried myself sick over this for the last three weeks, nearly four, and until she shows a sign of an issue, as in vomiting or hiding out all day, I'm going to just enjoy every day and be positive and enjoy our time.

Keep those prayers going, we're going to need them.

  1. Continued prayers, thoughts and good wishes still coming your way.

The cards are fun. I am not a drinker myself but my husband likes beer. Maybe if I make him one of these nifty cards he might get the idea of having me make him more cards to give out rather than buying them! The mats are perfect and of course the embossing reminds me of bubbles. Good job as always!

    1. Thank you Chris. Suzi ate really well this morning, so I'm encouraged.

I'm not a beer drinker either, but it sure looks good when people buy it. I bet your hubby would love this card, you should give it a try!
