The "Happy Birthday" is one layer, but I think I'll try doing some layering to make them taller on some future cards.

Thank you for looking in today.  The weekend is finally here!  Happy Friday!

  1. Basically I like them both! Usually I love layers but something about the boldness of the one without is really speaking to me, "Pick me!" I really like the bold pattern and it really works for masculine but also females would like it. The first one has that bold marquee type look that says birthday is all about me. Great cards! I gotta get that die eventually! It makes cards seem faster and easier - no thinking as the die puts the happy in happy birthday!

    1. Thanks Chris! I have to say I like the one with the white layer, but after reading your comments, I can see the plus side of the one with the black layer.

You really do need this die. It is so perfect for layering and card making with no stamping, so it's an easy pre-cut and assemble when you have time, no matter where you are.

  2. Both are great cards. I think I like the black mat best because it really makes the Happy Birthday stand out. Thanks for all you share! GlendaJ
