My Upline, Lorri Heiling reminded me about this adorable card we received as a swap at Convention last summer and I knew I had to make one for this weekend's workshop. Isn't it adorable? Who hasn't heard "MOM! MOM! MOM! MOM!" and immediately turned to see who's kid was hollering?
This card was so easy and so fun to make. I think if I make another one, which I probably will, that I will move the letters a little bit closer to each other. Thankfully Layered Letters has both an "M" and a "W" so this was simple to do with one try.
Recipe:
Whisper White Thick Cardstock - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Whisper White Cardstock - 5 1/4" x 4"
Stamp MOM! in Real Red first in the lower right corner. Then stamp the rest back from there.
So, who else has inky fingers when they stamp? Guess it was ME today!
I've always told my girls, "there are no mistakes in stamping, only opportunities for embellishment" so here's how I embellished this "oops!"
Perfect solution and look how much nicer it looks! The inside stamp is from Watercolor Words and when I spotted it, I knew it would be just perfect for the inside of this card.
So, give a Shout Out to your Mom this weekend. My Mom is in Heaven, but I'll be talking to her from my heart. She's been gone almost 24 years yet it seems like yesterday. Love you Mom!
Thank you for looking in today - Happy Friday! ~ Donna

Love your card and love your oops! The hearts are the best! My mom would have loved this card, well, she would have loved any card I had made her except maybe if it had a snake on it or some other creepy crawly thing. I have always liked red and gray together so I really liked this card for that part too. Well done. I bet this card would have been a fun one to receive in a swap!

That little heart punch is retiring! I'm so sad to see it go away!
DeleteHey, Maybe I'll make this for Dad too, although, from my experience, it is usually MOM that is being called out! ha ha!
Great job, Donna!! I love your opportunity for embellishment and how you make it REAL!!! Thanks for a great post, made me smile. Happy Mother's Day!!!
