There's something to be said about Retirement. If it's you retiring, it's AWESOME... if you are left behind to keep working, it isn't so much. Especially after so many have retired or moved on to more fun things have lately from our office.
That is one of the problems of working with the same people for 27 years... some of them are going to retire before you do! I'll be one of them eventually... just waiting for the age thing to hit (or the million dollar winning numbers on my lottery ticket!).
Today we celebrate Ken. His last day is actually Friday, but we're going to celebrate his years with us today. The nice thing about Ken's retirement is he will be coming back to do some contract work a couple of days a week to keep helping with the transition.

FUN CARD ESP FOR A GUY. I NEVER REALLY THOUGHT ABOUT MAKING ONE FOR A GUY BUT THEN I DIDN'T NEED MANY RETIREMENT CARDS. LOVE THE LITTLE INSIDE CORNER STAMP - THAT MAKES IT SUPER SPECIAL AND A KEEPER!

Thanks Chris. I hope he liked it. The party was a little weird in that another person was told to make sure the room knew what he got. Mine was first and all they paid attention to was the gift card from the small group of us. THEN there was a "cute" store bought card and they (the helper) talked about that... the nerve! LOL Ken will know though that the hand made card was special and that's what matters.
DeleteDarn tootin' right he'll know!
